This dude has had an unbelievable year, and y'all are just killing him on here. This place and twitter are unbearable because of people like the vast majority of Bama fans on here. He is an 18 year old kid who accounted for 36 TD's, and almost 4,000 yards of total offense. He struggles sometimes throwing the ball, but he has made huge play after huge play all year long. When the game was on the line last night he made two monstrous plays to give us the lead with 2:00 to go, Yeah the defense took 90 plus snaps, but they still HAVE to hold them to a field goal there. Where is the hate for Dieter, Ridley, and Ardarious having huge drops last night? What about Tim Williams who got his butt whipped all night? Y'all can say they held us all night, go back and watch Korren Korven hold the crap out of the guy who would have made the play on Bo's first TD. Jalen is an easy target because he is QB1, but y'all are getting ridiculous with the hate. Tua played weak competition in high school, and y'all expect him to be the savior? Why not get behind the QB who has proved himself all year long… in the SEC.. and when the national title was on the line.

While I agree the D has to step up there you can't fault them. Hurts (the offense) can't not do shite the entire second half then drive the field to go up in the final minutes of the game and expect the D to come through again. The D put the offense in good field position all night including two turnovers inside CU territory. Going 3 and out repeatedly will tire any D out, including ours. Yes Hurts is only a freshman and isn't "big time" but he's playing for a big time school in big time games. And if you can't admit he has regressed the second half of the season you're not paying attention. Hurts may very well become a great QB but to say he's lacking in certain areas is accurate.

It's pretty ridiculous. Definitely the most spoiled fan base out there. Many are just completely devoid of any rational perspective. It's pathetic.

I like the guy. I've just been realistic about his abilities and what it would probably cost us. If he was the best option, then I guess it kind of sucks to be him because he was thrown into the fray when he really didn't have a chance to succeed. Saying he can't pass is an observation, not hate. I blame the fans that kept on and on pumping him up and pretending he was great, when he just wasn't. Now people are shocked that he's having bad games and are turning on him. Be rational in the beginning. Say, "Hey, he can't pass well, maybe we can game plan around it." Or, "We'll probably lose a game or two this year, if we're starting a true freshman QB." But no, any hint that he wasn't the next coming was met with page after page of meaningless stats and homerism.

I hope he turns it around and becomes the greatest passer to ever live. He's a hard worker and has the right attitude. Is that enough? We'll see.

Hurts probably had one of the best seasons ever for a true freshman. Give him a full offseason to work out the kinks and I like our odds.

There's two things going on. Either some of these people truly don't understand football and the level of competency of a freshman QB, or they're closet bigots.

The guy is only going to get better, but, sure, let's start over with ANOTHER freshman who will have the same damned problems.

I think Hurts is limited right now and didn't progress very much down the stretch, but I don't put last night on his shoulders. He didn't get any help. The line didn't do their job, we had stupid penalties and tons of drops. He didn't have a great game, but I believe he did enough for us to win if he would have gotten help. I wasn't very impressed with the game plan either. The entire offense felt out of sync.

Jalen clearly hit a freshman wall at some point in November. It happens, and there is a reason freshmen QBs don't win titles.

Kid was pretty awful last night, but he still made plays at the end to win the game. Glad to have him.

The ironic thing about Jalen's TD pass to OJ is that the whole reason it worked is because Clemson had no respect for his downfield passing. Not hating, it's just funny. Team loss last night.

Hurts needs to link up with whoever coached up Sims in the offseason before the '14 season. Both are natural RB's trying to play QB.

It's not Jalen hate, it's more to do with we are not able to take advantage of the strength of the offense with him. This year he was not duel threat, but he was damn good.
