Wearing a houndstooth jacket
Guess he regrets leaving.

I assume Coach Dennis Franchione.

What an idiot, pulled a reverse Bear and got what he deserved.

I was there with some Aggies too. We had a laugh.

Fran. I had blocked him from memory until I saw him tonight decked out in houndstooth.

Karma was so bad to Franchione......but so good to Alabama.. In 2003, Alabama's football program was on life support. Who'd have thunk ol' boy coaching over in Baton Rouge would have Bama here 13 years later....

Dennis Francine was the coaching equivalent of an inflated stock. He jumped ship before at nearly every program where he was coach and rarely did he ever see one of his own recruits graduate. The guy was looking to leave Alabama the day he arrived and lied to a lot of people on his way out.
Now he's out of coaching and has nothing to show for it.

Screw Fran.
Oh and Merry Christmas!

Wasn't cool how he left, but I truly don't think he could've handled the pressure to continue winning with the sanctions piling up. And yes, karma got him.
In the end, we hired a few more coaches named Mike and then we got our guy. Those years were insufferable, but reminds me why the Saban years have been so special.

The funny thing is that Fran had a free pass for a few years. Everyone knew times were going to be tough with the sanctions.
To this day, I still believe he threw or at least DGAS about that Auburn game in 2002.

Left that 10 year contract extension offer on his desk as he walked out. My how the SEC would be different had he stayed and had solid success.
