I remember the Alabama WR getting thrown to the ground in the endzone and then the LSU DB ran the pick back seems 80 yds or so in 2004.
All the other 97,00,01,03 & 05-07 wins LSU was just the better team.

Who?

I think those years are probably what you have to look forward in the Coach O years.

It isn't obvious? Growing up, bama gear was non-existent in Louisiana.

Now its everywhere

The records during the Mike years were pretty bad but the teams usually weren't as bad as the record, that was the most frustrating part.

We very rarely got blown out and were usually in almost every major game in the 4th quarter, before fading away and losing pretty much EVERY SINGLE TIME.

No depth and bad coaching will do that.

I would tell you guys to enjoy what Saban is doing, because it will never be paralleled again, but you'll just snag your Ohio State jersey out of the closet and claim your new allegiance.

What a little bitch you are. Presumptuous, too.

To the other ninety-percent of you jagovs, I'm sure you never even ATTENDED college- much less Alabama. Keep your "we" posts to yourself and stick to NASCAR.

Was a fan when Bear was around to the present. And I don't like NASCAR.

Glory days. Some time you just have to break it to fix it. There's advice in there if you are listening.

Absolutely we remember it, the difference is that we also have three different times to remember that we were the kings of college football for over a decade each. 20 years under the Bear. Alabama is the standard when it comes to college football and always will be.

Alabama settled and hired unproven mediocre coaches before Saban and they got mediocre teams. Much like Auburn has been doing the last 8 years and like LSU is now doing.

It's no big secret that winning brings out the bandwagon fans.

True story - I watched the Iron Bowl in mixed company in 1989. One person watching I had not met didn't have on any colors so I figured he was not an especially big fan. I asked who he was pulling for. I will not say which team but he said he brought his teams sweatshirt but was going to wait until after the game before wearing it if his team won.

That's a good example of bandwagon fans. Several of us that were drinking told him he could put it on now or not at all. He seemed shocked it wasn't appropriate to wait until after the game to decide.

Dunno about the gumps, but sounds like you've already forgotten about the current Saban era and their record vs you in the 90s, 80s, 70s, 60s, etc.

... Of course we do. That's part of why we are fully LIVING in the Saban years. I was born in the 90s and I grew up hearing people say I missed out on the good years and that Bama would never be great again.
