No way you can steal him from LSU

I too would prioritize an in home with a prospect in Hawaii.

I would take every free trip to Hawaii as well.

I thought Tua was getting an offer from Houston.

hawaii would have a hell of a team if all the poly/islanders would play there.

Taggart is on the recruiting trip ostensibly to recruit Tagovailoa’s cousin, who is a 3-star recruit. But Taggart asked to speak with Tua as well.

Brennan would probably just commit to Bama then.

Won't happen but no harm in trying.

Well Oregon is a hell of a lot closer to Hawaii then T-Town.

“They’re supposed to be out here to see my nephew (3-star defensive end Myron Tagovailoa) and they just wanted to speak to Tua. I’m fine with it,” Galu Tagovailoa said. “I know he’s a new coach and he wants to get the energy going, but at the same time, we expressed to him that Tua is locked in to Alabama. He just wanted a chance to speak with him, and I’m fine with it.”

I am sure his first visit is for the 3 star cousin.

He should. I always feel a bit sad for Polynesians and Islanders who don't play Pac-10 ball. It's a natural cultural fit (West Coast vibe) in a way that living in the east and south isn't. It takes a guy that is really willing to leave it all behind. I mean he has to explain everything about himself every day. That would get old. Of course if he's willing to do it, and he succeeds, you know you have one really hard-nosed kid.

This weekend is the last weekend for officials before the dead period. Tua has a football banquet and state championship celebration. He moved his official, to Alabama, to last weekend (into early this week).
If you can't get him to Eugene this weekend, the dead period will start and he will have enrolled at Alabama before the dead period ends. He visits unexpectedly and delays enrollment, I think all can worry at that point.
