When the Aggies come to town it is a little strange. The fans are perfectly nice but mostly keep to themselves. They have weird chanting cheers, odd male cheerleaders who have some very strange moves, and a band that is interesting for a few minutes (because of all the cool marching) but that soon turns into something akin to a band in the veterans day parade playing marches from the 1940s. I can only imagine what it would be like to play there. Maybe one day.

Whatever floats your boat. Variety is the spice o' life.

My parents always taught me to be kind to the elderly so I won't give you my actual thoughts on this thread.

This sums it up perfectly

They are good for the conference though

You left out them constantly asking where the closest gay bar is

Aggie fans have been great the 3 times they have come to town. Not sure what this is about.

You really have to be careful with aggies.

There's a saying about them, they're either at your feet or at your throat.

Keeping your boot on their necks is the best way to deal with them.

This is a perfect description of my experience from them in 2012. I found it pretty odd.

I really liked their band but there is something definitely disquieting about it. The marching precision, the jackboots, the military music.

I have to say I'd rather cast my eyes on Bama's Million Dollar Band Twirler girls...

I've never understood the attraction of watching other bands (that don't do the military thing A&M does). They play rotations of crappy pop music that has been adapted for a big band, wander around hoping to produce some identifiable shape (but, most often, just looks like an amoeba), and almost always dress in some variation of the classic "band geek" uniform.

Even the girls are either too far away, or you wish they were even further away. It's not like the average girl out there is something you would want to start slipping 20's to.

I am admittedly prejudiced, but the precision and crispness of the FTAB is something I will always consider one of our greatest assets as a program.

Nothing more vanilla and uninteresting than Alabama's "million dollar" band.

I've lived in tx for 16yrs now and was a part of a aggies family with great ties to the university and many experiences with Aggie alum/fans. For the most part the older generations of aggies are great. I have business dealing with, hunting, fishing and much more drinking with them. From my experiences it's the younger ones that are assholes. They run around giving a bad name for the good one.
Yes, to the outside, their traditions seem weird but if you get and understanding of their school and tradition it's rooted in great history.
To each their own....I guess.
With that being said......
