LSU could probably EASILY have a LSU Network to milk the state if they wanted just like Texas. It would probably earn close to LHN money (

The state of Louisiana has what? 4-5 million people? 70% of which care about LSU athletics if we're being generous. Don't be ridiculous.

No, you didn't. I just wanted to razz an aggie a little bit. I liked the article. I didn't know aTm made as much as UT. I was surprised.

It could happen.

Texas makes $15 million on average from the LHN before the school and IMG gets a cut. Florida used to get around $10 million a year from the older Sunshine Network. .

I could see a LSU Network working financially. You get 2 million people to pay $0.80ish extra on their cable bill to watch LSU play two of its games and a lot of basketball and baseball and you earn almost $20 million a year, of which LSU only has to pay costs of. Add in a streaming option for $10-20 a month and advertisements and I could see LSU easily clearing an extra $15 million a year.

The problem wouldn't be money, it would be distribution and production values.

Here's how you know that McElroy is not a decision maker nor does he have a clue.

I'll guarantee you in writing that Missouri is not going to agree to that. Add Arkansas to the list as well. In addition, the "1 state, 1 team" cabal, which includes Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Kentucky also has a voice here.

His chosen role of being a dumb college football fan is simply the best acting job on the Rant.

I hope.

Well, in this regard I disagree with ol' Greg.

Texas has shown an inability to play well with others, and a "I'm the big man on campus" mentality.

That would either get beaten down fast while in the SEC, or Texas' tenure here would be short lived.

I agree. If we are going to have to go to Texas for games, at least let us go to Austin.
