Interesting article by Scarbinsky, there have been 21 coaching changes since Saban arrived, only 2 have won an SEC championship and that was done by one school. LINK

34 total coaches during that span?

Butch is gunning for that top spot next to him

Freeze is the next SEC coach in tenure. So it wouldn't take much for Beliema and Jones to move up a spot.

Even now, he's dying to get back to Baton Rouge.

It's too bad he's just a selfish front runner and we couldn't compete with that Texas money

He will get Gus this year!

The thing about saban is even if he left Alabama in the middle of this season i'll never feel like he bailed. it would suck still but you cant say we didn't get our moneys worth.
I mean you cant win 4 national titles somewhere and bail. He came here built a program won at the highest level multiple times and left. The process was complete.

He could coach at Alabama until he's 96, die of old age during a game, and people here would still claim he bailed

I thought Florida, Auburn and LSU have won SEC Championships since Saban was at Bama! Am I missing something?

Which is ridiculous. Of course the Bama fan in me enjoys watching my favorite team set the bar but the realistic side understands that this kind of perfect storm of team and coach doesn't come around very often. It's really unfair to set the standard at every big school that can compete with what Alabama and Saban have been able to accomplish. If it was easy there would be more than just Alabama and Notre Dame with multiple dynasties. Alabama Is fortunate to have done this with two different coaches.

OP has mad skills - posts a topical article about a recent event and somehow makes it about Auburn.

Mullen has been there longer than Freeze
