Clearly needs to be fired mid season.

Was Ole Miss, TN and UGA not ranked last year?

The only things that worry me about him so far are recruiting and a curious inflexibility. Also a lack of aggression-- make no mistake Nussmeier and McElwain lost the Tennessee game more than any single player lost it-- they chose to go away from what was working-- middle to deep range passes to the WRs and instead didn't call a single pass downfield or to the wrs until the 4th quarter-- that's baffling.

At least get your numbers right if you're gonna troll. He's 3-5.

He's 2-5 against ranked teams at Florida; 3-5 if you count UGA who was ranked in the coaches' poll.

In all five losses he was without his starting QB. Basically all coaches would struggle to win games with a backup QB in their second year at a school.

What's his record against ranked teams with his starting QB?

Their residual Muschamp defense isn't going to last much longer either so it will be interesting to see if McElwain can ever get that offense going.

If he doesn't improve, he'll be kicked off the Saban coaching tree!

What's Butch's record against UF again?

Enjoy the W bro. Hope y'all manage to win the East because if not the LOLz will come your way.

I have my criticisms of Mac-- most centered on his coordinator hires (at least Collins had a good track record, Nuss was just a fricking pity hire for his friend who had basically been fired each of the previous two seasons for incompetence) -- and his lack of recruiting (this is where he should have focused with the OC hire-- call your own plays and get a stud recruiter as OC).

This is more than a bit unfair-- he's coached exactly 1 of those games (Ole Miss) with his starting QB and he won that one handily. Now, Appleby didn't cost Florida the game on Saturday (that's on Nuss for wearing out the D with 5 straight 3 and outs because he's an idiot and didn't call any passes to the WRs, no attempts whatsoever until the 5th series of the second half after throwing for 200+ in the first 75% of which was to the wideouts) but still.
