Moorehead does nothing for me. He is the weakest link. We should try to get David Beaty back after Kansas fires him.
I'd love that. Or if LSU botches the coaching search and Frank Wilson becomes available.
But I'm not sure Sumlin would ever get rid of Moorehead unless Moorehead gets a better job.

Let me start off by saying #NeverTrump.
During the offseason it was brought up by a few that the coaching inconsistency has been Sumlin's major issue. I think all can agree we now have the best staff we've had since 2012. Sumlin doesn't need to make any changes between now and the end of his contract following the 2018 season. Next year we lose a lot of seniors and will have some adjusting to do. I see us being top tier in 2018 with our young offensive talent and we've finally found a groove and have depth on defense. If Sumlin can't do it by 2018, he will never get it done. He should get until then though regardless of what happens.

Frank Wilson is the HC at UTSA.

I'd argue this staff is a lot better than the 2012 staff

Erik McCoy is already a legitimately dominant run blocker, I've never seen a center so consistently fire off so quickly after the snap.
now if we can just get him to cleanly snap the ball to t. knight.
it seems like knight has to make several nice athletic plays a game just to handle the snap that is at times all over the place, or is it just me? maybe all qb's have to deal wtih this. i admittedly know next to nothing about the oline position, just an observation from a fan.

No. High/looping snaps have been a problem since the Auburn game. Don't remember of he was doing the same thing vs UCLA

I've complained about the rainbow snap several times. Not sure what the issue is there. I'm sure it will get fixed.

absolutely agree on this.
watching a lot of games every week you will see receivers wide open, and when we play it seems like someone is usually on top of our guys, or just a step behind. now, my guess would be our wr's aren't running very good routes. maybe that isn't the case though, and it's not a matter of them getting coached up properly, but more on when and how they are getting the ball from the qb, perhaps the plays being called, the competition we are playing or any number of other reasons. it just feels like, with how hyped all of our wr's are, we would have guys more wide open...more often. i could be way off on this though.

you aren't seeing things at all.
the high snaps are an issue and one of them is what caused that fumble inside the 5 on the first A&M drive in the second half.

mean, did he bring him to aggieland or didn't he?
Sure, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend his incredible eye for coaching talent led him to find a diamond in the rough. He hired a guy considered by pretty much everyone to be an elite OL coach.
In the case of Chavis he at least worked a deal to take him from LSU, however in hindsight that wasn't as impressive as Chavis had no intention of returning to LSU and turned down a bigger contract from them.

You cannot pretend this wasn't a masterful stroke, and LSU didn't offer to pony up until Chavis was already gone

My point is Chavis had already decided he was done with Alleva and jumped at the first opportunity. Good on Sumlin for seeing it, but we were largely just the benefactors of burned bridges at LSU. Chavis was going to leave or retire.

It's clear Klarvin is actually the Trump voter as it pertains to this subject.
