And if you get him, what do you change to keep him?

He left for the NFL.
He did not leave for another college.
Nothing you can do about that, guy wanted to compete at the highest level.

Would you go with another Shula to get Saban dipshit?

Enjoy Saban while you have him.
Look at all the coaches Bama went through after Stallings.
I feel for whoever Bama hires after, that guy will have the most pressure of anyone.

We kind of are right now

The answer, of course, is yes. In many ways the Dinardo years were actually a helluva lot of fun, and they contributed to the success that would follow with Saban.

Thank you. If you know the good times are coming it's worth walking through the fire.

Dinardo wasn't bad. His decision to hire Lou Tepper was very very very very BAD.

If you actually believe this you are a moron.
But you know that don't you?

He did not leave for another college.
Nothing you can do about that, guy wanted to FAIL at the highest level.

Hard to say. Saban was not SABAN until his 4th year at LSU. Before that he averaged 4 losses a year ( 2000 8-4, 2001 9-3, 2002 8-5) and even after his national championship he lost 2 games and the bowl game the next year.
You cannot tell really how good a guy is going to be. By resume alone Bill Walsh should have taken Stanford to the Rose Bowl each year and won a national championship and corraled the best recruits in the nation who had 3.0's or better in high school. Didn't happen.

Dinardo was no Curley.
...after all, Curley was a Bear disciple.

We may be and whatever it takes.

Dinardo actually wasn't awful especially since he had to fix Curly hallmans atrocity.

I liked Dinardo.
He took over a team that hadn't had a winning record in 6 seasons.
He won 7 his first year, 10 the following, and then 9 after that. He hired Lou Tepper and then all went downhill.

Dumb thread. DiNardo was not liked by the fans because he was more of a pal to the players than an authoritative figure. The guys knows a hell of a lot about football. But sometimes that doesn't always translate to success on the field. Educate yourselves.
