I understand some of you may have grown up or had family go to the school of your respective teams, but others may have not. How did you become a fan of your team?

Me: Uncle played for A&M back in 80s and I was told I had to root for them.

EARLY on. When I was a kid I used to cut the grass listening to Munson. Pre ESPN days when you got on TV once or twice a year.

2002 6OT win over Arky was the first game I really got into... I'm just barely not old enough to remember the glory days of the late 90s which pisses me off.

I've been a fan as far back as I can remember. Became really passionate in high school and as a student at lsu - so much so that I still identify as 100% Tiger despite transferring to a "rival" school (work/business reasons) and graduating from said rival school.

I put rival in quotation marks because it's Tulane, and they're only a rival in the historical sense.

Still, the fact that they kidnapped LSU's live tiger once and let him loose to roam about the campus on a separate occasions keeps their bonafides intact as far as rivalry status goes.

To my knowledge, no other LSU rival, traditional or otherwise has ever pulled such an awesome (and dangerous) prank in the name of school pride and bragging rights.

Late 80's. First memories of Bama football are Gary Hollingsworth/Siran Stacy. I was 12 when 1992 rolled around and after watching that special season, I was hooked for life. Endured the up and down years, never would've imagined Saban could accomplish what he has.

Junior year of high school when I decided A&M would be my school. Neither of my parents went to college or had any school preference so I didn't either. I was more of an NFL fan growing up since I didn't have a specific college.

As early as I can remember I'd been watching LSU with my grandpa every weekend. I think I became a huge fan when I was 4 and Morris hit the walk off for LSU in '96.
