Even 4.3 is stretching it. Only 9 players ran under a 4.4 last year in the combine. The 40 times Auburn puts out are embarrassingly stupid.

Yeah and it seems like it has gotten even more inflated over the years. Tim Carter is the last Auburn guy I know who ran a legit 4.2x and the only reason we know that is because he was a track star (10.3 100 meter). Corey Grant might have been in the 4.2's as well, I don't know (another track guy).
I don't even believe Bo's 4.13. I think he probably ran in the high 4.2's at his prime (still insane for his size). Bo claims his combine time in 1986 (4.13) was electronically timed while others said it was hand timed. I would like to know the truth on that. I would also love to see Usain Bolt run a 40. I know it's not something track guys do, though.
I know Auburn is using some lasers for their timing right now. I can only assume they aren't setting them up correctly or aren't setting them up at exactly 40 yards.

That is a nice tape. Hes quick and gets his yards. Knows when he needs to juke and when hes got some guys beat.

I want to say that ESPN had a segment on timing Bolt's 40 yard dash based on his 9.63 100M in Beijing. I think he ran the first 40 yards of the 100 meters in 3.9 seconds or something like that.
But he was wearing spikes and starting off blocks, which help with speed.

I would imagine there are other sprinters that are faster to 40 yards than Bolt. Bolt's freakishness is that he maintains the same speed from 40 meters to 100 meters.

Will Hastings is...a coach on the field, runs good routes, great hands, high motor, great football IQ, go to receiver, sacrifices, work out warrior, and is a coachable kid.
