Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor was found not guilty of driving under the influence Tuesday morning, Taylor's lawyer, Jason Neff, confirmed with AL.com.

Taylor was arrested in July and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

"We are very happy with this ruling and hope that he will now have the opportunity to move forward with his football career," Neff said in a statement released to AL.com.

If you can cover up felony gun/drug charges, covering up a DUI is easy.

According to the Decatur Daily, a public records request shows Taylor registered a blood alcohol content of 0.00 within 30 minutes of his arrest. The arresting officer filed a report saying that Taylor was very lethargic, slow, and slurred, but Taylor's attorney says that's due to him hitting his head on the steering wheel in the accident.

Is it safe to assume that the judge is a bama alum & major financial booster? Not sure how the DUI laws run there, but here, there has to be some type of legal determination...a breath or blood test, some type of physical act that shows a person is under the influence, etc. Did the police make that up, too?
