With SEC football starting in 2 weeks I thought it would be cool to somehow simulate the SEC season, but I wanted to do it as realistic as possible and to get a realistic amount of upsets. My friend I go to college with is an absolute math whiz and a football fan so I asked him if there was a way to. He told me about some formula(don't even ask me what formula cause I'm not smart enough to know) but it accounted for home field advantage, talent, etc. This is what we got.

Your friend thinks we beat Bama but loses to Mizzou. His top secret formula needs work.

I wouldn't mind his prediction overall though, sure hope we don't lose to TCU though.

We get it. People expect you to do something for the first time since the housing market collapse. A 10,000th thread is not needed.

I'm not judging you for your inability to understand the formula, but at least post it here for us to evaluate.

So his top secret formula was him drawing teams out of a hat? Sounds about right.

Took into account home field advantage

Most useless stat in sports. Talked to former Bama qb last season about it. Asked him what it's like to play at Jordan hare or tiger stadium. Said he never paid attention to noise. Said it had no effect on him or the players since you're concentrating on your task. Also said if noise bothers you you have no business playing big time football and if it bothers u the coaches will bench you.
Said the lighting and field traction are much bigger concerns but by game time you have acclimated. Said after pregame lots of guys change cleat length and that auburn sands it's field real heavy and has awful traction.
