No
MSU has never and will never win a National Title in anything... Ever.

Princeton was undefeated in 1950 and claims the national championship. OU, UK and the others had at least 1 loss
Ok so that's how we do it. Great. 1964

Those farm boys had a hell of a lot more to worry about than who got the nation title.
I love to see bama fans defend those old titles. It's like the Cowboys calling themselves America's Team.

For the 1941 SEC champions, the season would not end until the following week, when they traveled to the West Coast and defeated the University of San Francisco 26-13 at Kezar Stadium to complete an 8-1-1 campaign. The next day, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and America was at war. Many players from the 1938-1942 Mississippi State teams fought in World War II. One player, Harvey “Boots” Johnson, a star on the 1940 team, was killed in a bombing raid over Japan. Buddy Elrod, State’s first All-American, was imprisoned in a German Stalag prison camp. Football was played in 1942, but Mississippi State did not field a team in 1943 due to the war.
The TRUE champions!

That's not how it works. Universities don't CLAIM championships, they simply ACKNOWLEDGE championships that have been AWARDED to them.
In 1941 Alabama Men's Quarterly (or some shite) awarded the Crimson Tide a national championship trophy. It took 40+ years, but Alabama finally overcame the shame and acknowledged it thinking no one would notice.
Again, it's not about CLAIMING championships, it's about ACKNOWLEDGING championships that have been AWARDED to a team.
This is the first completely accurate thing I've ever seen you post. Well, except for the Men's Quarterly thing. Have an upvote, sir.

Pearl Harbor is the reason.

I have a hunch that State was not voted champions because those poindexter voters did not want to travel to Starkville, Mississippi, to watch the Bulldogs play
No one wants to travel to Starkville now. Just think how much worse it must have been 75 years ago.

75 years ago there was less difference between Starkville and Tuscaloosa than there is today. Much less difference. Oxford and Starkville are matched almost evenly in any time in history, and still so today.

Trade it for 1966 or 1945.

It's odd that I have never heard anyone or any publication compare them as equals. In every single instance Oxford has received far more praise and recognition. But I'm sure that's just the Bear controlled media at work.

I guess before BCS era, there could be 5 co- champions. Every poll claimed a champion. In 1941, Texas, Alabama, and Minnesota was declared champions. Minnesota claim the AP title and that why the were the national champions. That's why any title before the BCS, I really don't count it.

Ole Miss controls the media in MS. So be it. But some of the outside media people have been bootlicked and knob slobbed to the extreme every time they're in Oxford. frick all that.

Ha, I would tell you to grow up, but we know that doesn't make a difference at this point
Oxford and Starkville aren't in the same ballpark, no matter how hard you "believe"

Much easier 75 years ago. You stepped off the train and walked 50-75 yards north to the football field. (Careful now watch out for that cow patty). Didn't even have to park.

The MSU folks are so far past delusional at this point I don't know if there is really any way to bring them back to reality.
