In 1981, Herschel Walker's season in which he rushed for 1,891 yards. He finished with more than THREE times the number of yards of the SEC back in 2nd place.

For a little perspective, he also had three times the attempts

Not many RBs are durable enough to get that amount of work, let alone produce at a high level.

once again a Bamaland that can't handle anything outside of Bama - so sad
Herschel is a great man and was one of the top 5 all time SEC football players

This response made no sense to me at all. Then I realized that you have no idea that GOAT is an acronym for Greatest Of All Time

Let me see. Fournette is better than Chubb because everybody knew Fournette was getting the ball and stacked the box. (This, even though they carried the ball a similar number of times their freshman year)
Herschel is not really all that good because he carried the ball so much? I am guessing that nobody realized he was carrying the ball so much, so they did not stack the box?

Herschel would get serious carries on any SEC team if he suited up this fall...at 50+ years of age. HW was and still is a beast.

Look how much more impressive Anthony Dixon's stats are (in 3 less games) compared to the guy from Bama who won the Heisman Trophy that year.

Having read some of TigerCliff's other posts, I seriously think he's retarded. How he got my statement as a slam on Herschel is beyond me.

He is completely consumed with Bama envy. Every post...plus, he's a tard.

One more reason LSU fans should stay in the Tiger Rant.

Almost identical carries, but fewer yards, fewer TD's, lower YPA, fewer passes caught, fewer receiving yards, lower YPC, again fewer receiving TD's.
Interesting point.

Denying Herschel's greatness as a running back is as stupid as denying Einstein's credentials as a alltime physicist. Don't be ignorant.

And unlike Bo, Herschel didn't quit against Tennessee.
