11,12,13,and 15 Alabama were all better than 09.

Joking aside, 1995 Nebraska was the best team I ever watched. That season should have cemented Charlie McBride as the successor to Osborn. He had 13 contributors on defense that got drafted over the next couple of years.

That was a great game against two teams that were stacked.

Vince Young had the best game by an individual player I have ever seen.

That year was an Ohio State missed FG from not happening. That game plus the prior Rose Bowl prepared that team.
Sometimes even the best teams need a bit of luck

Yes. Frazier, Makovicha, and Phillips composed one of the best I Formations ever. Brook Berringer played under center as well but Frazier made that offense work.

95 Nebraska totally annihilated a really good Florida team to win the title. 09 Bama wasn't even the best championship winning team that Saban coached. That belongs to the 2011 team.

Give me the 95 cornhusker squad.

It must be teenagers responding! If you are over 30 2001 Miami and 1995 Nebraska are in a class by themselves! Tons of NFL talent, heck even their backups were NFL players!

Yeah - he was an athlete playing quarterback, but one hell of an athlete. Is Phillips the guy that was in prison and got shanked or something? Can't remember his first name

I just wondered because it is well known that UT had the greatest college baseball team ever, they may have had one of the best college football teams ever with the 69 and 2005 teams
Now they just need Shaka Smart to keep all those players from leaving the state then UT might have one of the greatest college basketball teams ever

Lawrence Phillips. He committed suicide in prison last January.

2003 USC didn't face a defence even close to the 03 LSU D and LSU shut down an Oklahoma offence that was just as powerful as USCs off.. LSU still wins. The 2003 Crystal football sits at LSU. Accept it.
