I can agree with all of that. Well said
Thanks.
I'd feel a lot better if you guys still had Skai as both playmaker and leader or if you had someone back like Pharoh or Wilds. I do think it's still a tossup game but I lean towards the Dores pulling off the upset this year (and yes, I know they're favored by Vegas but it would still be an upset, imo). The Vandy vs. SC games I've watched have usually been competitive even when they shouldn't have been.
It's going to be interesting to see how two very defensive minded coaches square off in this game. I really wish they weren't running this game 30 minutes into ours.

I'm thinking it could be surprisingly high scoring. Reason for that is simple. Because it's not supposed to be.
But a safe prediction, one that's more likely. 24-20 Gamecocks. I just think that this SC team will shock some people this year.

I'm going out on a limb here. Vanderbilt 2
South Carolina 0
8 OT
Too bad that you can't score 1 because I would go with that.

A 4 pt win over vandy isn't gonna shock anyone.

I think he meant they may pull off more upsets in general/be a better team than expected.

You just love our cocks don't you

Yep. I would prefer sc to be a top east program rather than ut or uf.

my thoughts...
"Well, since I just finished watching UT beat Appy State, I might as well switch over to see who is winning the cripple fight."

Loss. Vandy will win that game and could spring an upset or two this year

McIllwain has a lot of promise. However, I love the idea of a true Fr QB getting his first start against what should be a very very good defense. Vandys OL should be vastly improved getting both starting OTs back from injury & of course Webb has been a very good back on some poor teams the last two years.
It all comes down to Shurmur & the passing games development over the offseason.

Exactly. The overall talent level on this team is better if you look at the skill positions. Young, yes. Very young. Will show flashes of brilliance and that's where I believe that the wins come. The losses will be frustrating because most of them will most likely hang on freshman mistakes. I figure a 6-6, maybe a 7-5 season would be a great success with 2017 being the year that things really pick up.

Vandy Wins...USCe will be lucky to win 5 games this year and no Im not joking.
And as long as Muschamp is there, you frickers will never get back to Spurrier levels of recruiting or play.

I was with your rationale until you said recruiting. Spurrier was never that strong recruiting for us. You can look at our classes and tell. Our ranking was directly dependent on sc producing top players. The years they did we were in the high teens. The years they didn't we were struggling to be in the top 25.

Fair enough. But it's really not as bad as it sounds. Vandy really does have a decent defense. I think they're being underestimated this year by just about everyone with a lot places picking them to finish last. I don't think they will.

I think he start out with a loss. It's a battle of 2 teams that will play defense and try not to lose on offense. I like Vandy with them having the same coach as the last 2 years and a decent QB with some experience. Muschamp struggled to win at UF he may really suck at USCe.

I doubt Muschamp will coach at the level of Spurrier, but he definitely will amp up recruiting.

I am leaning towards a loss right now for Muschamp unfortunately. I may change my mind after fall camp. If this game were later in the season, I think Carolina would win. pretty tough first game out of the shoot for Will.
