Our best RB last year was RS'd b/c we didn't know how awful the RB situation was really going to be.
Better than Wilds?

I'm putting a $100 on the under in this game.

Oh yeah. Wilds was a skill drill all star, but when you put him in games consistenly he either got hurt or fumbled. It's why he didn't get drafted like the 2 SC RB's before him. He got picked up by the Falcons for training camp, he'll wow them in drills, but then the preseason will come.
AJ Turner was the best RB we had last year and he was on the bench RS'ing. Y'all will see plenty of him and Dowdle this year.

Carolina wins 13-10. Elliott Fry with the game-winning FG.

I don't remember any sc fans saying stuff like that about wilds going into the last few seasons. Now he is gone and he suddenly sucked and some no name guy on the bench who has never played was the best and will be awesome this year. The worst idea is the take on the benefits of losing cooper at WR.

He gained 20% muscle mass this offseason, I think that equates to him adding 2 maybe 3 pounds. Somebody needs to get this kid a cheesburger.

Wilds spent his career getting injured, but going into '15 he had a solid YPC. Then this season happened and he was hurt again for a bunch of it. Dowdle is a Parade All American coming in and AJ Turner was hurt his Sr year in HS. Like I said, just wait, you'll see them.

Well what about when we lost Ellington, or Sanders, or Alshon, or McKinley, or Rice? The worst idea I've heard from uga fans is about "who's going to replace so&so at WR for Carolina?" We have someone step up every year. This year we'll have options. Deebo was hurt most of last year, but he'll have a shot this year. Bryan Edwards has all the tools to be another Rice/Alshon for us. We're young at WR but we're on a better run than anybody for producing Freshman All SEC WR's.

It'll be ugly, but I expect to win. I certainly can't be mad at any predictions that Vandy will win

Game has 3-2 written all over it lol... In all seriousness...I will take Vandy since we are at home. Our offense had trouble vs air so it will be low scoring...gonna say 16-14 Vandy

It shouldn't be a high-scoring game. The biggest comparisons will be regarding both team's defenses:
Vandy's defense should be stout again with a lot of leaders on that side of the ball returning, and the questions about our own offense. Meanwhile, USC's own defense wasn't that great last season, but perhaps they will be helped by a returning Vanderbilt offense that wasn't great either. As bad as USC's defense was last season, we held them to fewer total yds than our offense had, and sacked their QB more (3 vs 2).
The Vanderbilt game last season was the first game for USC after Spurrier quit, so there was some confusion but also some emotion for the Gamecock team. It would end up being the only win under interim HC Elliott. But this will be on Vandy's home field and I'm sure they will have the emotion on their side for the season opener.
There's just too many questions right now for the Gamecocks for me to have a clue how the game will go, but I still feel that the play of the defenses for both teams will decide the outcome....

I would favor Vanderbilt slightly but it could go either way

I fully expect Deebo Samuel to be the man this year. Not saying he will put up Cooper-like numbers, but I think that he will be solid for us. Maybe in that 45-55 catch range. He will also touch the ball in a number of other ways.

I have zero insight into either team, but I think Vandy pulls it out.

So a couple three star freshmen rbs who have never played college ball including one who was hurt in high school?
You seem to be Counting on freshmen to be good at qb, WR, and rb. That's not very realistic. Any reasonable fan would be very concerned over that many freshmen.

and they would be wrong. We've produced more FR All SEC WR's than anybody the past 10 years.
