which begs the question... why was he recruited?
Jennings was very highly recruited (4-star, #214 overall in nation; had offers from Ark, BC, Cinci, Colorado, UK, Mizzou, MSU, NU, UNC, OM, UO, VT, UW & Wisky). That whole QB class from 2013 though is a pile-o-shite. Hayden Rettig was also a 4-star and #153 overall in country, he transferred a lot quicker than Jennings did.
Goes to show how much a crapshoot QB recruiting really is. Hayden is at Rutgers now and was a backup last year and is not expected to start this year either as a 4th year junior.
Rettig was upset when Jennings got the nod for the 2014 starting QB position after spring practice and left. Jennings then went on to have on of the most shitastic seasons in LSU history for a QB. then in 2015 we had to start back at square one with another young completely inexperienced QB. At least this one has talent to work with.

I wouldn't say that. Things are trending up.
Ryan Perrilloux really was his best QB recruit, but he had to be a knucklehead. He was SEC championship MVP.

Going to be amusing to see how AJ is received by ULLLLLL fans, as they detest anything/anyone with any ties to LSU.

Les must really wish he was back at home about right now.

Man. Lost his job to Brandon Harris.
Harris was a 5 star quarterback and ranked the number 2 dual threat quarterback in the country.
Yeah....that is bad.

AJ couldn't hit a 10 yard out on the sideline.

LSU fans never cease to amaze me with their ability to promote their players far beyond their actual ratings. Harris was not 5-star recruit in anyone's ranking. He was not #2 dual threat that year. He was the 9th rated QB in the composite that year, and about 96th overall. In that respect he was in the same general recruit-rating bucket as Jennings the year before.
Remember just recently the corny-dogs were posting about next year's NFL draft, how there are going to be 6-7-8, maybe more, first round LSU draft picks? The whiff of corn-dog odor drifts over onto this board from the cesspool of hope and delusion next door way too often.

And Arkie
Was he the kid that drove 99 yards to win the game? Damn, that kid had talent. Good luck to him in the future.

What does any of that crap have to do with saying that Harris is more talented than Jennings? It's obvious to anyone with a brain. Nothing against Jennings I liked him he was just limited.
