Self imposed punishment

What and the hell do they even consider letting a school come up with there own punishment. Once your caught cheating you should have no say so about anything. If they would not have got caught they would steal be cheating. I sure if your caught stealing,killing are abuse you would love to self impose your sentence

To see if the school is taking the investigation seriously and if they need to be punished more severely in order to get the point across.
