I look down on WV even more than Mississippi. What about you?

Both are about as bottom of the barrel as they come.

I'd live in either one over California

Wouldn't really want to live in either but I could find my niche in either. Coastal Mississippi and parts of the delta would be manageable and if I'm living in WV I just assume find some cabin deep in the mountains and live off the land as much as possible

ETA: i was born in Jackson and spent the first years of life in Madison so i'm familiar with at least living in one.

The MS coast is nice. Ocean Springs/Biloxi to the Louisana line is very nice. WV sucks everywhere.

What is with the 7 downvotes? How many separate accounts do WVU fans create just to downvote me?

Neither of them. They wouldn't be my first choices of states to live in, but why would I look down on them?

Mississippi has at least pulled its weight in the art department. WV is just coal that the world is moving away from. So WV is worse and far more trashy.

My retirement goal is to move from south GA to the mountains; so I'd pick WVa over MIssissippi any day - and over California too for that matter.

If you look down on an States, as a whole, you have more problems than we can address here.

As much as it grieves me to say it, in my opinion, I'd take MS over WV any day.

Neither. I live in Florida, what right do I have to look down on any other state?

Comparing Mississippi and West Virginia doesn't make as much sense. A much better comparison would be Arkansas and West Virginia. Both landlocked, both have mountains, both are small states, and both have weird arse mountain people that attend unusual churches.

I grew up in NE MS. I'd rather live in north MS that East AR. East AR might be worst than NJ which is the armpit of the country.

I hate the East. Give me MS anyday.
