Bramblett>Fyffe
RB has been here for some of the best plays and beat years of Auburn Football. He is great at what he does. I barely remember Fyffe.

So rod is better because you barely remember jim?
I didn't get to listen to Jim much either, but I've listened to his best calls and he was definitely fun to listen to. Rod is good too but to me he whines a little too much. Especially basketball. Jim I admittedly didn't get to listen to as I didn't really follow auburn sports until 2000 but I do remember him somewhat and like I say still have his best calls on vhs and he was a legend.

Well that last statement is definitely true. But congrats on having terrible taste as usual I suppose Brannigan. Bramblett has definitely improved quite a bit over the years, and made quite a few memorable calls in 2013.
But he's nowhere close to Fyffe's level. But few people are when it comes to painting a picture of what is going on during a game on the radio.

Fyffe could definitely paint the picture, I think it's a lost art now. Heck, ESPN misses pre-snap motions and lineups on TV and they only need to freaking film it.

I really like Fyffe. His "TOUCHDOWN AUBURN" was really hated by the guys I played golf with who pulled for the other side.

I knew this thread would turn into the stupid Fyffe vs Bramblett debate.

My first Auburn game was the 2003 USC game. I remember celebrating Fyffe's career and life by cheering "Touchdown Auburn!" every time we scored a touchdown.

Shitty joke is shitty.
Fyffe was great and significantly better than bramblett (tho RB has grown on me some). Radio PBP guys don't mean as much as they did 15-20 years ago bc every game is televised. For those of us who are old enough to remember 93, we're not gonna forget him.

I wish God would have let Fyffe call the Miracle in JH or the Kick Six.

Hey Old Man River, zip it or I'll break your hip.

Seriously, Fyffe was as important to the joy of 93 as any player. Greatest announcer I've ever heard. Really did a great job of explaining what was happening. The pure joy in his voice when things were going Auburn's way is what made him so special.
TOUCHDOWN AUBURN!!!

Yep, still remember listening to the Arky game on the radio that year, one of the few that year I didn't get to see as a student.

Rod has come into his own but I miss Jim fyffe. To hear him in 2010 and 2013 would've been amazing. Especially 2010 with cam.
