I have seen many many post and skimmed through some. What are the strongest possibilities here as for as violations? Will this end up being serious or just a mild punishment, thanks!

I really don't think it will be what people on here are saying. I'm thinking less than what USC got. Probation of a couple of years and lose a few schollies, limited contact with recruits.

Everyone says the hammer but can't name one violation that would warrant it. The worst they have is Saunders that got ULL 9 schollys and the Tunsil stuff which is a couple hundred $ unless people have facts showing other wise. They just want it to happen.

I'm sure people will reply "oh it's coming" or "oh I know about stuff but I just won't say the specifics for no reason at all."

This is blasphemous... the Ole Miss situation is super cereal. All signs point towards the Death Penalty.

It's not like this is a new situation that doesn't happen somewhere every year.
Unless the system changes, or unless it's something a
little more serious like the Penn State thing, it's the same thing over and over and over.
There will be some minor punishment handed out and everyone will go about their business and a week later it will be last weeks news.

If the ncaa ends up believing that the Tunsil twitter screen shot messages with the athletic dept official was proof of an illegal payment scheme, then that is big time lack of institutional control and would lead without a doubt to severe penalties.

They probably told the NCAA they had come clean on Tunsil.

Then it is shown national TV that they lied to the NCAA and coaching and the AD's office were involved.

LOIC.

We will know next week and it will start the ending of the process.

tRant will not be happy, but it will not be major. The negative PR we have got recently from opposing fan's media will probably be the worse part of it.

First week of June tRant will move on to another school as the center of their focus and making issues of nothing.

Once release half the MSU fanbase will cry foul, Tennessee fans will return to defending rape culture, Aggies will fill more jars, Bama will not care, Arkansas will go to a buffet and LSU will say "Geaux to Hell"

Auburn will invite us for a toast

2017 - Officials begin "asking questions"
2018 - Ole Miss receives official notice of investigation
2019 - Something about phone records
2020 - NCAA official presiding over investigation steps down.
2022 - NCAA releases findings
2023 - Sanctions are handed down, including 2 years of reduced scholarships, and 4 years probation.
2024 - Ole Miss begins the appeals process.

Probably nothing. They will get away with it like Cam Newton and Auburn did. How did Cam got away with it anyways?

My official prediction is 9 schollys over 3 years, 4 years probation and someone (Probably Barney or John Miller) gets fired as the scape goat.

Nothing that's insignificant, but certainly not the end of days either.
