Think about it for a second... rehiring a coach who put your school on probation you had to fire with cause.

Certain portion of the UT fan base has a serious case of battered wife syndrome... but I just don’t see it.

Hooks says it isn't clear what Harper will do. He will test the waters for sure though

I just can’t imagine Harper is a legit NBA prospect. He’s 5’10” tops. No NBA team is going to give him a legit shot, right? I have to imagine he’d go straight to G league, in which case why not come back for another year of college? I guess if he thinks his stock won’t improve much more and he just needs to take his shot at the league, but I just don’t see it going well for him. Am I totally off base?

What year is this from? I can tell you right now, the shortest guys in the league are 6’ flat currently.

Harper could go play in Europe or be an elite KBL player

With Tre Young's success as a def optional guy though, Harper may have a path to NBA if he returns. If Harper comes back and is a consistent 45%+ 3FG shooter with improved finishing I could see it

The height/length concerns are really only problems for defense

Multiple teams now play guys that don't even pretend to play defense though. Tre Young, Steph and Harden all were hidden away on defense

cool, I’m glad you knew a few. NBA is not my jam, but I’ve searched for “shortest current NBA players” and consistently gotten 6’ for Patty Mills, Chris Paul, and Kyle Lowery. Color me shocked and happy to be wrong

If he can get a legit shot then I’m very happy for him, but I’d hate for him to go and get stuck in g league. I also never think of rising seniors leaving early to go play overseas. I couldn’t blame him if the money is there though. I’m just not used to our players being legit prospects to go pro early I guess For so long it seems like we’ve only ever lost guys to graduation, transfers, weird midseason draft declarations, or scandals. This is definitely new and is going to take some getting used to

NCAA edits out the two controversial plays from the extended highlights.

What a joke.

That's the way they do it. Just ignore any controversy until people just stop talking about it.

Can't wait until Pearl turns UT down, and we get to hear how they didn't want him due to us on the death penalty. Ignoring that AU has made it deeper in the tourney than UT.

Why are they so confident he would return to UT if they wanted?

They are Vol fans. Don't you remember their FB coaching search debacle?

So Bruce during his father daughter dance at her wedding said they'd dance to this song after we are in the final four beating Kentucky's arse.

Marcello says he talked to Mclemore and Mclemore mentioned Harper with the rest of the (senior) players leaving.
