3 of the top 7 all-time rushers are from LSU and none of those guys are on your list?

Top 10 SEC RB's Ever
Henry

Mr. Five and a half yards per carry?

Over guys like Gurley and McFadden?

Both great backs, loved those guys. But, just for the record, go ahead and list their Heisman and National Championship trophies, and which years they ran for more yards or TDs.

I'll have a seat and be waiting on your response over here.

1. Herschel - single handily led his team to 3 straight “National Title” games

2. Bo - great athlete, dominant RB

3. McFadden - straight up dominant; one of my favorite non-UGA players in history

4. Gurley - if were talking stats, maybe not. But when Gurley was on the field he couldn’t be stopped. We were all robbed of greatness due to an injury and a dumb arse off the field incident.

The drop off is significant in my opinion. You could mix and match 5-10 and I couldn’t argue

5. Mark Ingram - started the run of great Bama RB’s, Heisman, National Titles, the guy did it all

6. Fournette - I think his success is inflated by inferior competition, but if I’m creating a player on Madden, he looks a lot like LF7

7. Eric Rhett - far from underrated, but mostly forgotten. He was a great RB

8. Kevin Faulk - 20+ games of 100+ yards rushing; great player

9. Nick Chubb - suffered a vicious injury, but the stats don’t lie. The guy averages over 7+ ypc. He is a stud

10. Shaun Alexander/Emmitt Smith - hard choice, consider them 10a and 10b

IMO, Eddie Lacy, Derrick Henry, Trent Richardson and TJ Yeldon were all better than him.

Thankfully we actually watched the two play and know it's the truth.

1. Jackson - Just like him a little better than Walker
2. Walker - beast, no argument if he should be one
3. Henry - holds the record
4. McFadden/JOnes - great duo, would've been terrors with more of a passing game threat
5. Fournette - could easily finish his career 1 or 2
6. Emmitt Smith - maybe not quite as athletic as some others, but just a great RB
7. Ingram - Heisman, could've put up bigger numbers without splitting so many carries with Richardson
8. Jamal Lewis/Travis Henry/Travis Stephens - they probably dont stack up numbers wise with others, but UT's ground game in the 90s was phenomenal, and these guys just seemed to be wrecking balls
9. Williams/Brown - great duo, probably should be higher
10. Gurley - without injury he could be higher

**Freely admit that these ranking are neither consistent nor likely accurate, but they are based mostly on how they fared vs. Bama or their ability to lead their team to some kind of title.

If he had better luck with his health, Jamal is pretty high on these lists and even higher when factoring NFL careers in.

Here's the thing ladies and gentlemen, there is no purely objective list of the Top 10 greatest SEC running backs. There's no way you can make one. Any list regarding this topic or topics similar to this one will always be subjective.
