Von can't stop farting

Well this is something I never expected to read

That much farting is usually caused by a deficiency of the lactase enzyme that breaks down the sugars in milk. You end up getting the same effect by eating beans that have not been soaked long enough to remove the sugars that cause farting.

As I understand, (not a doctor or such) the sugars cause intestinal bacteria to go into hyperactive mode, the byproduct of which is a gas made up of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, methane, and a tiny bit of sulfur (which is the only thing that causes the smell).
