LSU- very young team that has the talent I think to make it the Omaha if we have good relief pitching and our bats don't die down. Starting Pitchers are probably our strongest position as of right now.

Auburn- I have a friend that just transferred to Auburn this past year, besides that I don't know much about them except y'all have had trouble fielding a talented Baseball team for a while now.

Alabama- new stadium is awesome from what I've seen and I remember y'all having a lot of young talent like LSU has this year. I'm sure your team will be improved and could possibly make a NCAA appearance.

Ole Miss- I can recall y'all having a good bit of upperclassmen last year? I don't exactly remember how many y'all lost besides Orvis. Y'all took 2/3 from #2 this past weekend so I'm sure you're fielding a great team this year. It's going to be a fun series in Oxford

TAMU- Yall are fielding another great team this year and it'll be a fun series in Blue Bell Park where LSU will crush you once again. just playing it'll be a hard series to take from y'all at home.

Arkansas- I don't know much about Arky, y'all always field a good to decent team that'll give LSU trouble.

MSU- bad pitching and really hot bats so far, y'all seem to be in the same hole y'all we're in last year.

Tennessee- do they even have a baseball team? I mean look at their field

Vanderbilt- great team and will for sure make it to the Tournament this year and most likely Omaha.

Florida- probably the best team in the SEC this year, so much depth and great returning starters.

Georgia- I don't know anything about UGA

Missouri- y'all brought a pretty decent team into Baton Rouge last year and the rankings show that you still have a good team so far.

Kentucky- y'all usually field a good team like I said I don't know much about the East

South Carolina- Missed the tournament last year, I would say their coach will be in hot water if they miss it again this year

Pretty much the opposite of that is true.

Opposite. Last year we had pitching and no bats. Reverse that.

Arkansas is #1 or tied in the following categories in the SEC
HR's 12
Slugging % .577
Sac Flies 11

Sac Bunts 9, tied with Vandy

Coach Van Horn has done a great job in recruiting after losing tSEC player of the year.

I think we'll be plenty salty by the time SEC play comes around.

Bama won't be in the NCAA's. Conference play hasn't started and we will be way below .500 when it's said and done.

You're high if you think this team has a shot to make it to Omaha. LSU will struggle this year. Pitching will obviously be our strength, but there's a lot of new faces on the field this season. I'll be ecstatic if we make it to Omaha don't get me wrong, but I'm thinking Supers at the absolute best. Even then, that's a pipe dream

Quite the opposite actually.

If this LSU team makes it to Omaha that will be an overachievement. Starting Pitching is PROBABLY LSU's strongest position? Ah doesn't take a genius to figure out it is this LSU team's strong point.

Kentucky has a lot of learning to do this year. I've tempered my expectations for this season.

lulz ... that's it huh?

You don't know much evidently - guess we'll have to wait and see but yeah, if Chad fails to get us in the post season this year he'll be on the hot seat.

Then again, he may get us to Omaha with this team.

We're loaded with talent, have had nothing but Top Ten classes for years now, we've got a long and storied tradition and we're the winningest program in the SEC this millennium.

So after one down season in the past 17 years ... I guess we'll choose to see our glass as half full rather than half empty if that's ok.

If he does he's gone, but doesn't matter this team isn't going to miss the tournament. Really been impressed by our newcomers (JUCO & True Freshman) altho it's been against not very good competition.

Clemson's not usually as good as they usually are but they're probably a tournament team. They'll be a good measuring stick of our team this weekend.

Yeah, it's all about LSU. You guys are our "super bowl", of coarse.

If (this is a BIG if) this young LSU team makes it to Omaha, they will win it all. Mark my words. I have not seen a team this scrappy in a few years. They play with nothing to lose, and seem like they wont be intimidated. Anxious to see how they handle SEC caliber teams.

Im guessing you didnt see the two shutouts from this past weekend. We didn't pitch bad in our losses one was a bad inning with walks and the other game we didn't hit.

Our starters will get their oil tested this weekend at the Dodgertown Classic in LA vs USC, UCLA and Oklahoma.
