With only 3 games left plus the SECT, call your shot. Who is dancing?

Currently Joe has 5 getting in.

As unlikely as it is, I think UK & A&M could survive 0-3 finish. So at a minimum 2 will get in. The real focus should be USC, UF, Vandy, & Bama.

Here are the remaining schedules and resumes.

South Carolina
Record: 22-5 (10-5)
RPI-32
vs top 25: 1-1
vs top 50: 3-1
vs top 100: 5-2
Bad losses: @UT (115), @MU (206)

Remaining Schedule: @MSU, UGA, @Arky

Likely Finish: 2-1, RPI-32

Florida
Record: 17-11 (8-7)
RPI-44
vs top 25: 2-5
vs top 50: 2-6
vs top 100: 7-10
Bad losses: @UT (115)

Remaining Schedule: @LSU, UK, @MU

Likely Finish: 2-1, RPI-46

Vanderbilt
Record: 17-11 (9-6)
RPI-56
vs top 25: 1-5
vs top 50: 4-7
vs top 100: 6-9
Bad losses: @Ark (135), @MSU (151)

Remaining Schedule: UK, UT, @A&M

Likely Finish: 2-1, RPI-54

Alabama
Record: 16-11 (7-8)
RPI-53
vs top 25: 1-5
vs top 50: 5-6
vs top 100: 6-9
Bad losses: @Aub (143), MSU (151)

Remaining Schedule: Aub, Arky, @UGA

Likely Finish: 2-1, RPI-63

**Likely finish is per RPI Forecast **

I think Bama can get in if they win out against the remaining schedule (which is possible IMO).

Hopefully Bama can just win out, but those two games are tricky and Vandy has certainly turned their season around after the Mississippi State loss.

Alabama has to win 4 more games to feel safe in my opinion. Whether that's 2 in the regular season and two in the tournament or 3 and 1 doesn't matter. I thought a 2-1 finish and a win in the tournament would be enough, and it might still, but our RPI and SOS numbers which have carried us into the tournament conversation are going to take a hit playing Auburn and Arkansas.

Kentucky and A&M are in. USC will be without a total collapse. Florida doesn't have as much room for error but should be ok. Vandy can do a lot for their chances today. LSU and everybody else have no shot of an at-large.

If they lose a regular season game or the first game in the SECT, they are out.

In a vacuum maybe, and that does go with the premise I said of needing 4 more wins. Definitive statements like that though in the bubble conversation are absurd because each team is also affected by 15 others on the bubble and the wins/losses they rack up.

Based on play the past few games, I don't think UF will make it.

It is not the bubble teams they need to worry about. It is the upsets in the mid major conference tournaments.

That too. Further supports my point that any definitive statement about what one team needs to do is absurd at this point.

This is what the SEC Tournament is for. The SEC champ is always so solid they never need to win the auto bid from the SECT to get in. When is the last time the SEC champ was a bubble team? Never. It's pretty much a weekend for one of those bubble teams to get hot and grab a bid, or pull a 2008 Georgia and come out of the cellar entirely to get in. Good weekend for Florida, Vandy, and Bama to boost their resume. Kentucky, Carolina, and A&M are no doubt locked in.

We have to win these last 3. If we dont, have to win at least 2 in Nashville and that 2nd one will probably be Kentucky (which isn't happening). Therefore, gotta win all 3 and the 1st in Nashville and then I think we'd be in decent shape RPI wise.

But 100 things could happen between now and then.

Vandy will lose two of their final three. They'll be on the bubble if they can win a few SECt games.

I agree with above, Alabama needs to win 4 games. A 2-1 finish has them "out" but a run to the semis would probably put them back in with a win over 2 top 10 SEC teams including one of the top 4 seeds.

That will be tough. But, 3-0 is possible to finish leaving a game against an Arky, Ole Miss, Miss St type in their firs tourney game.

I'm anxious to see our game today. We've obviously played way above our heads all year, so I'm interested to see if the last two games were us plummeting back to reality or an expected stumble. Obviously Kentucky was the latter, and I wasn't stunned by us having a letdown against MSU after two big road wins. Still, today will show us a lot.

I'd say UK and A&M split the title at 13-5 and both get 4 seeds.

USCe finishes 11-7 and gets an 8 seed.

UF beats LSU and Missouri and wins a few in the SECt and gets a 9 seed.

Vandy beats UK today and slides in with an 11 seed.

Bama loses at UGA and gets a 1 seed in the NIT.

UGA finishes 10-8 and gets a 4 seed in the NIT. Ole Miss finishes 9-9 and gets a 6 seed.

LSU finishes 10-8, and in a surprising turn of events, misses the NIT. They get a CBI invite but turn it down.

Vandy always plays us tough in Nashville. I'm nervous about today's game.
