Next Tennessee Women's Coach

This is going to be like Alabama in football.
The Lady Vols could have and should have their pick of the litter.
They need the "Saban" of women's basketball, in other wards. I'm talking about someone with proven success at a program certainly that cannot match the resources in Knoxville, that then takes over a program with the prestige and resources that Tennessee has and then goes the eff off and blazes a new trail and just kicks everybody's arse.
If you are Dave Hart, who do you hire?

I don't think there are more than 10-15 people here who have any clue about women's basketball coaches past the Top 5-10 programs (if even that).

Good point. I asked because I am one of those people who have ZERO clue about this and am interested to see how this thing plays out.

I hope they give Tyler Summitt as shot.
Who else knows his Mom's system any better. He literally grew up in the Lady Vols locker room.

If you want to hire the Coach Saban of women's basketball, then you have to make the call to the evil empire in the state of Connecticut. If you want to go with a second pick, then have to call the university located in Waco, TX

Not great. 16-15 year one and currently 12-9 but LA Tech was unusually bad for a few years. I'd wait a few years to hire him. If you can't win there, you might not be all that good.

Ironically enough it's Pokey...Her background is a nice mix of Nick Saban in terms of coaching and Bobby Petrino administratively.

Geno Auriemma ain't walking through that UT door. If he did, I would hate the UT women's program like I hate the UConn program.
Auriemma is a classless a-hole. Pat Summit is what a classy coach should be.
