My goal this summer is to lose weight, gain some muscle, and be able to run around the track that is here near where I live. I believe 4 times around the track is 1 mile...I have about 30 lbs to lose.

Is this a good workout?

Push ups
body-weight squats
plank
dumbbell rows

Along with walking and jumping jacks.

I'm not a distance guy and I struggle. I'm in my mid-40's, and although I hit the gym hard -- have lifted heavy since my late teens (5 days a week) -- I'm happy just to finish.

My muscles are very strong, but my issue is my hips. I hope I don't have issues with them later on. Too much football, I'm guessing.

I pulled into a cross fit gym parking lot yesterday.

The Bojangles next door was all out of parking and I needed my Cajun filet biscuit.

I need to get my fat uninspired arse back in the gym. I'm getting tired and lazy in my older age.

I've been trying to consume +200g of protein per day. I do 4 sets of muscles: push (tris, shoulders, chest), pull (back and bi's), legs, and core each twice a week. I try to lift heavy - most often 3 sets of 5. Ive gained over 20 lbs in the last 8 weeks, but have definitely sacrificed some body fat %. Im at just over 220 lbs now but I want to get up to 240 before I start trying to trim the fat.

I'm thrilled that I can report in this thread that I've lost 55 pounds since April. I just got tired of being a fatass. 25 more and I'm golden.

I enjoy cycling myself. I'm planning to take a weekend and ride from Birmingham to Gulf Shores this summer.

Alright, I need help...

Last night I bought a tub of whey protein and a tub of creatin. Apparently, they are both post workout drinks. The whey protein has creatin in it. I didn't realize that at the store. It has 1.5 grams of creatine monohydrate per serving.

My question is, if I drink both will I have some sort of creatin overload? I really don't have any idea what I'm doing so any help would be appreciated. Should I just take the creatine back?
