So these are all Avery's players? Impressive for his first year.

Impressive for his first year.

Avery brought in a couple guys but the only ones making any impact right now are Arthur Edwards who has gone from averaging 3 points a game to like 10 ppg and like 40% from 3, and Dante Hall who probably would have come to Bama regardless of the coach.

Not sure how many rounds it made, but I trust the person who told me this. Also says Kiffin got a little too deep with the Elektrik Kool Aid out in Trojan country.

Yeah and Bama is overachieving. How is LSU doing with the projected top pick in the draft?

His house at Diamond Point was nice. I think he may still own it but I'm not sure.

Gottfried had sorority presidents going down fast from what I heard..

I would have rather been further out and not have the cliffs then water. My ex had a sweet place out there. Property ran right into the lake.

I know Gottfried got lazy and it went all to shite, but we had some good years with Erwin and company

Have you seen Jack Warner's place on the lake? The lakefront landscaping is fricking bonkers.

It's crazy that all of those happened in different years.
I think we got bounced early from the tournament the year we won the SEC. We barely made the tournament the year we were #1 for a week. Then we were mediocre the year we made the Elite 8 and should have lost in the first round.

Impressive for his first year.
I questioned the hire at first - but I'm pleased with it and looking forward to the future.

Enjoyed watching most of Grant's teams a helluva lot more than Gottfried's. At least we played hard under Grant which is a lot more than you could say for Gottfried's last few teams. Like, it's not even close. Some of you guys have short memories.
I know Grant had the one strong recruiting class, but to me, the difference is that Gottfried consistently had more talented rosters. When it comes to coaching up the team, however, I'll take Grant every time. Don't give much of a damn about Gottfried's incredibly lucky elite 8 run; wasn't even his best team here.
Really hard to overstate how shitty of a job Gottfried was doing by the end of his tenure. Grant didn't leave us in worse shape than that. Gimme a break.
And David Hobbs was a quantum leap worse than both btw. Have read some truly delusional criticism of Grant from Bama fans on this board over the last year.
Anyway, very happy to have Avery now. #buckleup
