So LSU, why again do you have one LB recruited?

Looking over the class, yet again I see Les doing the same thing he has done for the past THREE years, not recruit linebackers. Or at least not landing linebackers.
Meanwhile, he continues his trend of getting 4-5 wide receivers every single year without a reliable QB to throw to them. I don't understand anything about how Les builds a team.
Overall LSU your class is awesome, and you really improved your Dline, I think Fulton is awesome, but yet again Les fails at getting key positions for some odd reason.

There are several Guys that aren't listed at LB that were recruited to play LB.

Looking at it, that does make sense. 210 pounds wouldn't really make a true DE.

LB recruiting was a problem under Chavis.
Not so much anymore, before Fowler decommitted we had 5 LBs (in the new 3-4) in Thornton, Divinity, White & Anthony. So now we have those 4. Yes White will likely play ILB. Anthony is a 3-4 OLB. Thornton and Divinity could find themselves inside or outside. So 4 is still a very strong number, and a tone point right up till NSD had 5.

Anthony is way bigger than that. Like 225 range now.

And a preferred walk-on. Never know how those guys turn out.
I think we really made an attempt this year, but was burned by our second best LB that was committed.
The praise and success of your LB's for the last few years makes it a very sought after place for top LB's. I think it will improve after next season.

We got four beasts including two that can play inside behind Beckwith. You are starting a thread because we didn't get a fifth? Really?

Yep, Aranda thinks Layton Garnett is a player, said he would have offered him a scholarship had he come to LSU sooner than he did.

We have linebackers they are just labeled de and our scheme is changing so we will be good. Also we are adding a few good ones for next year I know you've heard of D. Moses

I don't think this means what you think this means.

True. Though some might want to worship at his feet and refer to Moses with God like abilities, he is no means the God.

Ranters, please don't listen to Brunedog. He knows not of what he speaks.

How does that usually work out? I mean, when you have a guy that's listed as a DE but then he has to switch to Linebacker in college for whatever reason?
Seems like it would make more sense to just recruit Linebackers if you need Linebackers.

We went hard after McColluch, Davis and Wilson but they had no interest

Because some high school teams use players differently. Just because a website doesn't list him as a linebacker, doesn't mean he's not a linebacker. I trust a coach's projection of a kid based on body type and skillset than a couple of armchair analyst who tell people what they want to hear

We have had some really good linebackers lately but Chavis didn't recognize it. Debo Jones and Beckwith ( who Chavis had on the bench behind that white guy). Kwon played

As reported McCullough was basically a silent commit to Texas the whole time and did you really believe we were going to pull two 5 star linebackers out of Alabama and one being an Alabama legacy.....don't worry I'll answer heck no
