Jarrett lee was spotted 10 points every game he started from the best defense in LSU history.

Flynn lost to Kentucky, and Arkansas. Arkansas didn't even field a qb.

Mett had 2 #1 nfl starting receivers and a nfl starting rb.

Brent Schaeffer wasn't very good at all lol

In 2006, Schaeffer started all 12 games and completed 115-of-244 passes (47.1%) for 1,442 yards, nine touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a passer rating of 100.75. Then in 2007 he completed 35-of-93 passes (37.6%) for 578 yards, five touchdowns, four interceptions and a passer rating of 98.98.

Watched him play, wasn't good.

Brandon Cox.

As Auburn's starting quarterback from 2005 to 2007 he guided the Tigers to a 29–9 record and was a member of the winningest senior class in Auburn history, winning 50 games during their time on the Plains. Cox finished the regular season of his senior year with a 117.58 passer rating. As of the 2007 Iron Bowl, Cox has 6,748 career passing yards

He had a rough year in 07, but won a lot of games before that.

defend your answer please, so I can then tear it apart.

Obviously he's a good QB. He holds a lot of records. He won a lot of games. But the games he lost were the ones that mattered for the most part. See his record vs ranked teams. Arguments go both ways.

So defense doesn't count with Flynn because he wasn't on the field when LSU defense gave up late TDs to Arkansas and Kentucky, but it somehow miraculously DOES count to you when Jarrett Lee plays on a team with a great defense ????

Neither of them played defense. LSU scored FIVE HUNDRED points in 2011 - 77 on D and 423 on offense.

Mett had 2 college receivers and running back - and LSU RAN 65% of the time in 2013.

Sour grapes much ?????

It is completely asinine to blame one player for a team's record against other teams.

Here, read this post I made after his SO year LINK. AM was only to blame for maybe 2 of our losses to ranked teams his first 2 years. His last 2 years were fantastic with many wins over ranked teams.

There really is no way to over rate aaron murray, if anything he's underrated.

I'd attribute a QB's record to his overall success (how many times have you heard Peyton couldnt beat Florida?)

He won a lot of games that didn't matter. He lost games that did matter (obviously there are exceptions like UF and USC 2013). Coker managed to win the Title this year even though Bama gave up 550 yards in that game. It is what it is. Arguments go both ways. Hardware talks.

Tyler Wilson from Arky (i think that was his name anyways). At the end of every game he had against bama it amazed me he was still trotting out there.

He was a spread offense quarterback in a pro style offense. The system failed him. He wasn't that bad

if that's the angle you're gonna take, it's not even worth continuing the convo because you aren't rooted anywhere near reality.

Coker, really? You mean the guy with the best coach in football, 4 straight #1 classes by his side, the #3 scoring D and #1 run D, a Heisman winning RB behind him, a very good OL and one of the league's better WRs....you're really going to compare what he did compared to murray? GTFO dude.

yeah, to fit into whatever narrative people want to make at the time. I went into detail and provided background on murray's record against ranked teams his first 2 seasons. If you only want to look at the W/L without actually looking at murray's direct impact on the game, that's on you just don't ignore it when it's actually relevant to the discussion.
