Sad that you're trapped. I live where I want to live.

Louisiana and Mississippi at the bottom.

I could live in any of the others easily.

Alabama (as long as it is in Tuscaloosa)

Tennessee is a total shithole. I lived there outside Nashville for 15 years. Nashville is one of the most overrated cities in the South. Not to mention folks move entirely too slow and breathe heavily from the mouth. Louisiana (was born there and lived several years there) is much better than Missouri, Kentucky and Arkansas. Texas is a great place to live (I live in The Woodlands) but it doesn't beat places like Jupiter or Windermere, Florida. South Carolina outside of Hilton Head/Myrtle is a shithole also.

Georgia outside of Atlanta is not much to be excited about but there is St. Simon Island which is nice.

Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi and Alabama should be the bottom 5 of the list.

MS sucks in a lot of ways, but you can make 50k coming out of school and feel like a boss, so there's that.

I lived lived in Texas (Houston ) , Tennessee (Memphis and Nashville), Louisiana (New Orleans ) . I'll take Mississippi thank you . Also lived in Virginia (Charlottesville ) . Been to Atlanta and it sucks . So does Houston Texas . Give me a small town in Mississippi any day . Florida is ok but I like a change in seasons . Any place in the south is better than yanked land

Completely depends on city. For instance, I'd rather live in NO than montgomery, but I'd rather live in Hoover than Ruston. Anyways, to give you somewhat of an answer:

Georgia

AL/SC/TN
FL
KY
LA
TX
ARK
MO
MS

Texas is tough to gauge. The cities are very different. I love Dallas, but don't really like Houston, and would rather kill myself than live in Austin.

South Texas is basically Mexico, East Texas sucks in places, and for some odd reason, I really like the Texas Panhandle.

Then no clue, but AL and GA would likely be near the bottom.

To be honest I think there are some great states to live in in our footprint. For me, obviously, its Texas, but I think South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee would be fantastic as well.

Texas and Tennessee are way above the rest. I could live in all the SEC states though with the right living and job situation
