Besides, the 2017 class looks to be legit, and I could see us getting back to #1 next year.
I see this being an OSU/Bama battle for #1. OSU was named the leader for #1 safety last week and is the leader for #1 WR. Bama is recruiting at a great level in 2017 as well

It seems that our focus is on winning the title this year, and that is fine by me
Or you are getting out recruited.

It's simple math. I wouldn't expect you to understand.

I definitely think this will be the case. It wouldn't surprise me if the difference between the #1 and #2 class in 2017 is less than a couple of points. We have the #1 RB committed and lead for the #1 outside linebacker. I also wouldn't be surprised if our qb receives a nice bump in the rankings. Some recruiting outlets have said that they think he is the best quarterback in the class.

I understand denial quite well. Your posts reek of it.

I obviously haven't looked too much at who Bama is looking at but I'm sure they will be pulling in studs. I just know OSU is in on, and in many cases leading, for a lot of really good players

Predicting where 2017 guys will go right now is ridiculous. I would be willing to bet more than half of guys go to schools other than their "leaders" a year out. Now it certainly helps to be in the minds of the recruits, but so much changes that it really means nothing till around August or September.

I love how you post 3 guys in question for Bama, but only one guy for LSU.
If LSU gets Lawrence, Allen, and one of Mullen/Fulton, then thats 299.That would put us at 233. Gotta think we would get to at least 25 but probably more like 27. We will be well over 300.
Going to be hard for anyone to catch us, but if so its gonna be either Ohio State, Bama, or UGA. Either way they will have some catching up to do.

0 chance of that. OSU only has 5 spots or so open left. I don't think they will finish top 5

Alabama could completely crap the bed this recruiting class and would still have talent other programs dream about...
and they are not going to crap the bed.
I do think Georgia is going to make a strong push for number 1 though.

I think you can see whether the foundation was built for a GOAT class or not this early.
For example, 2015 started with 4* WDE Mekhi Brown. Mekhi was one of the foundational recruiters for that class, and he got an early start before Blake Barnett joined the cause. On the other hand, this current class hasn't had that vocal recruiter that every recruit mentions. (Look at the Eason effect for UGA)
For Alabama, it seems that our best classes come when we have that recruit recruiter. With having nine commitments already in 2017, those are prospects that are going to be talking up bama to other recruits, particularly if we win tonight.

A few days ago I was starting to get familiar with some 2017 prospects to look for in regards to LSU and thinking how filthy Bama's class is going to be next year.
I'm hoping LSU can close out at #1 and if we finish how we anticipate to in 2016, we should be tough to beat for that spot. It's exciting because Miles, despite his faults, has assembled an incredible recruiting staff at LSU.

Looks like Lawrence is shutting it down this weekend.

We're able to take 28-30 recruits this year. I see us finishing with
QB:Dwayne Haskins
OL:Willie Allen
DE:Sci Martin
DT:Rashard Lawrence
DT:De'Andre Christmas Giles
DB:Trayvon Mullen
DB:Kristian Fulton
DB:Jamel Cook
That would put us at 311.44. A couple of our current commits are likely to get large bumps as well so it should be higher. I could see us possibly oversigning by one as well if a big name wants to jump on board.

Your guesses are close but I don't see 3 dbs. Subtract a DB and ado a linebacker and I think that's what we end up with.
We still finish #1 though.

Simple as this... LSU closes out with the remaining recruits who are almost a sure thing, LSU finishes #1 no matter what happens with the other schools.

why do you always have to troll. I mean this is supposed to be the board where your hate is muffled.

LSU is recruiting really well despite the mess that was there a couple weeks ago.
