No agenda involved here. Just stating facts.
IF we beat Florida on Tuesday, Kennedy will have done what Metcalf and Gillispie each accomplished once.

UF is only 3-4 in their last 7. They've played a legit schedule during that stretch.
@ The U
@ Mi State
vs Ok St (neutral)
Jacksonville
FSU
UGA
@UT

Tennessee embarrassed UF. We should start 4-0, but single games in basketball are a lot harder to predict than football or baseball series. Anything COULD happen.

Well if we keep playing like we did vs MSU and the first half vs UT it'll get real easy to predict. I don't think UF lets us overcome 20 or more minutes of that.

That and how Young completely emasculated A&M in the NIT last year.

I've never been a big Kennedy fan. Our team has looked uncoached for long stretches of his tenure. But for whatever reason, this current staff + these players is working. Kudos to him for this season.
Now I just hope that Stansbury doesn't bail this offseason so that we can keep this thing rolling a bit longer.

I get what you're saying, but people should just enjoy this year for what it is and worry about next year when it gets here.
This year may be as good as it ever gets for A&M basketball, and it would be dumb to lose even a moment of that because you're worrying about next year.

Yea I'm not wringing my hands over it. Just idly wondering.

This team is fun to watch and who knows where it leads. The last 2 wins weren't over powerhouses but they were SEC Road wins and UK, UF, and Vandy have all fallen victim to "lesser" SEC teams on the road. Still too soon to know where we will end up but this team does feel different and there is no truly dominant team in the SEC this year.
I'd like for someone to go ahead and knock off USC btw.

Well we get USCe here.
Metcalf's 1980 sweet 16 team started conference play 9-0 en route to a 14-2 regular season title. They won the SWC tournament as well.

Sam: A couple of buddies and I managed to somehow get into a way beyond packed GRW to see that '80 team play Arkansas in an absolute meat grinder of a game. It was so loud that you couldn't hear the person next to you shouting something in your ear. Fun times for a kid.
That '80 team started out 5-5 in the OOC schedule, then got rolling.

It was a crazy fun season. I was at almost all of the games. Losing to Louisville in OT was a crusher.

Gut wrenching loss to Louisville for sure. Right after blowing away UNC in 2 OT's in Denton, Texas of all damn places.
Yes folks, there was a time when early round games were played in places like Denton or Lubbock, Texas or Las Cruces, NM.

A&M has never started conference play 4-0.
The 2006-2007 team started 4-0. KSU, Baylor, Colorado, OSU. They lost the 5th game to TTU.

How that team lost to Tech TWICE is beyond me.
