Finally, some credit where it belongs. Thank you Aggie!!! Also, Vandy was the last SEC team to play against Sewanee in 1946, 5 years after Sewanee left the SEC.

Yale has more wins all time than any school in the SEC.

That is impressive to go 14-1 on the road. Where was his loss?
At Auburn

The worst coach to ever win a SEC title by far, imo.
Not as long as Gene Chizik has that 2010 SEC title.

About as obscure and meaningless as one could possibly be.

The first college football game broadcasted in primetime was Alabama vs. Ole Miss in 1969.
In that game, Archie Manning accounted for 540 yards (436 passing and 104 rushing), a single-game SEC yardage record. That record stood until Johnny Manziel broke it in 2012 with 557 yards against Arkansas. A lot of great quarterbacks played in the SEC during that time and didn't break it: Condredge Holloway, Danny Wuerffel, Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, etc.
Oh, and when it was broken, Archie said, "thanks a helluva lot."

With Ole Miss' thrilling win over Bama in 2015, they have finally surpassed Sewanee in the total number of wins over the Tide.

Most letters begin with vowels if they were "spelled-out". It would be ENN EFF ELL. Thus, an NFL is not only acceptable, but the proper use

No, it would be National Football League.

That's not obscure or interesting, that's the norm.

The 1899 Sewanee Tigers football team represented Sewanee: The University of the South in the 1899 college football season. Sewanee was one of the first college football powers of the Southern United States and the 1899 team in particular was very strong. In 1899, the team went 12–0, outscoring opponents 322 to 10, and won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association title. Known as the "Iron Men," with just 13 men they had a six-day road trip with five shutout wins over Texas A&M; Texas; Tulane; LSU; and Ole Miss. It is recalled memorably with the phrase "...and on the seventh day they rested."[1][2] Grantland Rice called them "the most durable football team I ever saw."[3]

Last A&M head football coach to get poached by another school was Bear Bryant.

Not sure that is a good sign. But the last LSU head football coach who left voluntarily to coach for another school was Paul Dietzel.

Except being named 1st team all-sec (twice)

Jay Cutler was first team All-SEC. Not all that special. Also there's a first team All-SEC quarterback every year. There's only been two other times an SEC quarterback has thrown for 4000+ yards. So Swag's accomplishment > Dak's

I mean he's been a starter in the NFL for more game than 99.9% of college football players. I'd say that's pretty special

Folks talk about LSU, South Carolina and lately Vanderbilt when mentioning SEC teams winning in Omaha...but Georgia was the first SEC team to win it all in Omaha. They won in 1990, the year before LSU started their run.
