Non Bama fans, is this current Bama run the best CFB dynasty you've witnessed?

Obviously we Bama fans are gonna have a biased answer, so I'm asking everyone else. Is this the best run you've seen a program have in CFB in your lifetime, or do you think another was better?

If you beat Clemson, I would say so.

Oklahoma in the mid 70's. Nebraska was also very impressive in the 90's

Yes...But recruiting class rank/ team philosophy. ...correlates into longterm success....Regardless. ...Saban's ability year in and year out is unprecedented. ...

I mean the Nattys weren't all there, but FSU in the 90's was something else.

I was born in '95 so it's the only dynasty I've truly seen.

There are some kids on this board. One poster was born in 95, he's younger than my son. Good luck getting honest answers from little piss ants.

The huskers and hurricanes were pretty awesome to watch back in the day..
I think Bama will sustain a longer one then they did..

Now you're just being needy.

But in terms of both sustained success and reaching the pinnacle, Bama probably has it. If they win on the 11th, I'll just go ahead and give them the (imaginary) title. The best competition, I think, is 1980s-early '90s Miami for titles, and Bowden FSU for sustained success. Miami's success had plenty of peaks, FSU success was sustained longer than Bama's has been thus far (nothing to do for it until Saban coaches a few more seasons.) I'm content giving Bama the edge simply because it's getting harder and harder to win out.

(Other recent candidates, like Nebraska and Florida, were great runs, no question, but they either didn't sustain as long as the three aforementioned or had a less dominating run at the very top.)
