Why didn't you use 247 instead of 247Composite? It's like you're factoring Rivals and Scout twice and 247's once.

Composite factors in pretty much every major recruiting site. You could just post the 247 composite rankings and be done with it.

OR you could do it your way and over-weight that #1 ranking from Scout. Also, what the hell is Scout's ranking based on? Sheer number of commitments? That's the only way UF would be number 1.

Meh. Will finish strong for a top 12 class.

Agree. Don't see Tennessee outside top 12. They are in on some bigger names and Butch closes well.

Scout rankings are based on Chad Simmons, a UGA homer.

According to 247 Sports, but do we really know this

I've never been able to find the list of other rankings 247 uses. I think they imply that there are 4 of them, with one being their own, but I've noticed examples that didn't work with 247, rivals, scout and ESPN as the 4 sources. Everyone always assumes it's those 4, but I've yet to find anything to confirm it.

edit: It's been 1 1/2 hours since I posted this, and as usual, no one seems to know. I like 247, but maybe it's time we stop thinking of their composite as the average ranking of all the top sites, as they insinuate.

I will say that I think it uses one or more of them, but I don't recall which. Sometimes the composite ratings will change, after changes on the other sites, but sometimes they don't. I think they may use 1-2 of them and 1-2 smaller ratings, while insinuating that they use all 3.

I'm sure you said the same thing last year when at this point we didn't have Justin Martin, DKJr, Richmond, Kelly, ect committed.

Butch is getting the boom cannons loaded and gonna make a lot of noise down the stretch!

Except I didn't.

Last year's class had Kahlil, Shy, Kamara, Williams, Jennings, Jones, Dormady, Taylor among others at this point.
