At a place in Beaver Creek in the Yukon Territory once. I was alone in that place until about 3am when some drunk natives took over the place. It was 20 below, wind was blowing through the walls and the power went out.

Stayed in a huge convention hotel once when it was completely empty. Creepiest experience of my life. It was just like the Shining.

If you are staying in a hotel where you are the only guest, that would be reason enough for me to leave. There is a reason no one else is there.

I stayed in one as the only guest once. It had just opened the week prior, and it was a Sunday night.

It has happened to me twice, both were weather related.
Last time the staff was stuck with me for 2 days so technically I guess I was not alone, but housekeeping and other staff could not get in either. TV signals went down so no communication.
I think there was a 3rd time back in the early 70's in Montana or Wyoming or some such western desolate state where the car broke down and the place was literally like a dollar a night. Place had like 8 units total and may have been the dumpiest dump I ever stayed in in the USA.

Returning home from honeymoon, stayed one night at Navarre Beach. While we were out to dinner the hotel evacuated due to Hurricane Erin. We walked back into an empty hotel and went to bed being none the wiser. The next day was interesting.
