Why wasn't Coach Muschamp given another year at Florida?

He built the team that Florida is having success with and would have virtually the same record as JM.

McElwain reminds me of HDN. He was fortunate to walk into a program with a roster that is ready to win now. The only difference is HDN did it twice.

Will McElwain be fortunate enough to walk into another "ready to win now roster" when he is fired in a few years? Only time will tell.

Because he was a fricking disaster at UF.

And Mac coaches circles around Muschamp.

You need to go back to the Arky board and gets some trolling advice from the pros there. It's for your own good. I hate to see you continuing to embarrass yourself with lame troll attempts.

Your fellow piggies have elevated the bar so it's not really your fault.

Once Mac's team looks soft next year on defense (after Muschamp's players start leaving,) they'll figure this out.

Honestly if Will and Roper started Roid Grier over Treon he may still be here.

But, he's an idiot

If he had beaten LSU and South Carolina like he should have he wouldn't have gotten fired.

No chance. That Ole Miss result would have never happened under Muschamp. For the first time in 5 years we saw a well coached game and a team starting to live up to its potential.

Muschamp wasn't a good coach for Florida and left a mess for McElwain to clean up.

What did coach Muschamp leave coach Mac besides a great defense that has been there for 20 years. What did he leave him on offense?

Even though they had a better record this year, I thought Fla 2014 was just as good a team. I believe they benefited a lot with Missouri and S Carolina being complete garbage this year.

eh, kind of. He def did at Ole Miss. At Arkansas he was up and down. He went 10-4 and won the west the year before he was let go, his 9th year at Arkansas. He also finished 8-4 the year he was ultimately let go.

Muschamp had a similar defense and a far, far superior collection of offensive talent and did worse-- think about that- Florida had more offensive players drafted last season than any other SEC team, hell they had more offensive players drafted than anyone else in the country outside of maybe FSU-- and the offense largely sucked-- that's how bad Muschamp was as a coach.

USCe devised an evil plan to land the greatness that is Muschamp. A plan that was a year in the making.

USCe trolls UF in the Swamp in Nov 2014, losing the entire game until they snatch away a win in the end. Will is fired the next week. SOS plays up the sadz for his friend Will.

Then in the middle of the 2015 season, in a totally un-SOS fashion, SOS quits like a little bitch so the USCe admins can wine and dine Will for 3 months to lure him to Columbia.

I'm sure that it was a hard sell, with Will being the hot HCing commodity that he is.
