I thought That's what The Godfather was...

come to think of it though, they were Sicilian, so maybe the all white part doesn't work.

It all depends... if they kill a minority, then they're considered white. If they save a kitten in a tree, then they're Sicilian.

A movie about indentured servants brought over to the colonies in the 17th century would be interesting.

I knew somebody would catch my reference. That was a pretty cool movie.

I'm guessing this thread has something to do with The Wiz being on NBC, right?

The Wiz confuses me. They lost me at the premise of there being a person of color in Kansas.

Was the witch in the Wiz, black or still green?

She was black, it was Mary J.Blige. She was green in the orginal wiz I think.

I watched a bit of it. It was ok, a bit cheesy though. I still prefer the wizard of Oz over both Wizes.

The Wiz (Diana Ross/Nipsey Russell version) was actually set in NYC

And Dorothy wore silver slippers in that film. Ironically, the slippers in the original Wizard of Oz were supposed to be silver (the story itself is an allegory about the gold standard in American currency iirc), but they went with red slippers for Judy Garland's version because they were more vibrant onscreen.
