So many people think that MSU is going to return to being mostly irrelevant next season because Dak is leaving. I would say to those people that you don't know what you are talking about.

If you are familiar with State, Fitzgerald (although I heard likes the white powder) is going to be a very, very good QB. Incredible touch on his deep passes and very good runner. Also, Staley, the two sport star, will also be good. Me personally, I expect Fitz to start next year. Looking at the schedule for next year, and with the recruiting class from last year getting playing time, I see at least 9 wins. My point is that State has a stable of Dak clones that may or may not pan out, but the days of 5-7, 6-6 are long gone in my opinion with Mullen staying.

Just my thought for the day.

Doesn't matter how many 4 and 5 * QBs you have in the pipeline. Replacing a very good QB that shoulder's a ton of the offense is hard to do.

No, MSU already is mostly irrelevant, we are banking on MSU being totally irrelevant.

Do what? You didn't get that with him, why would think you'd be able to do that without him?

Dak has an 8, 7, 10, and 8 win season. I guess they still have a chance to get to 9 this year, but he's just as likely to finish his career going 1-4 on 9 win seasons.

Well, yes Gray and Fitz will be ok, maybe even good at QB. The important thing is that through a combination of JCs transfers, red shirts, etc., it looks like State will have a mostly senior, 5-year player, offensive line, and older, upper classmen, experienced people on the DL.

It is hard to tell how good a lineman is 5 years removed from recruiting rankings. But a mostly senior line is usually a good thing...

One thing State does well is fill holes with JC players. This is becoming more of a trend with more and more SEC teams, including Alabama and Ole Miss. The one SEC team that doesn't seem to pay much attention to JC players is the one who could benefit the most, LSU.

If we don't improve the OL, Fitzgerald will need the white powder just to get out of bed on Sunday mornings.
