Yea, if those carries were only distributed to games against Eastern Michigan and Syracuse.

Not this year. Next year he may very well win the whole thing, but this year I doubt he goes to NYC.
1) Henry (wins South, Midwest, and NE)
2) Watson (wins mid atlantic)
3) McCaffery (wins Far west)
4) Mayfield (wins southwest)
5) Cook (gets a lot of 2nd place votes & some 1st in South and Mid Atlantic)
6) LF (gets fewest 1st place votes of this entire bunch)
Probably only 4-5 going to NYC.

Fournette probably set the NCAA record for largest disparity between performances vs non-bowl teams and performances vs bowl teams.
Leonard Fournette, the Mike Hessman of college football.
Fournette is the best running back and player in college football this year regardless of who wins the heisman. I think it is utterly silly to say the best player has to be on the team with the most wins. It's utterly stupid. LF7 is so much better than Henry.

It's crazy that there are three backs that are that big of home run threats. All three of these guys can easily take one to the house on any carry.

Fournette isn't even getting an invite this year...

Cook's carries come against very weak competition.
Not going into "coulda woulda shoulda" territory but you have to recognize that Henry only played about a quarter against Charleston Southern - as a late-season example - and got 68 yards and two TDS. The following week, one of the ESPN analysts busted on him for having a bad game and said it would hurt his Heisman chances.
Post the numbers on how these running backs performed against power five conference opponents. Or top 25/50 opponents. IMHO that would be a far better stat comparison.

There's only going to be 4 in NYC this year.
Henery, Watson, McCaffrey, and Mayfield.

Well, he racked up his yards against JV opponents and had mediocre to average/good games against the better opponents.
Is it "his fault"? Well, no, maybe not, but that isn't how these types of things work. If it was, we'd probably be giving the award to some back from Idaho who will be a 2nd round pick because he has no talent around him.

Nah, that isn't true. He had big games against Clemson and Florida as well as some other good defenses.
Cook is incredible.

Fournette laid down like a little bitch in the biggest games of the year. He was a non-factor. In the biggest games of the year for Henry he carried his team.

Didn't say that Cook wasn't a very good back. No doubt, he is.
He certainly performed well against two good teams... but overall, the ACC is as weak defensively as a wet paper sack.
If I compared pure talent and ability, I'd probably rank 4Net first. But that's not what the award is for.

If anyone thinks Fournette is not getting an invite is smoking some serious dope. They will all be invited, period!
Watson will win it. Henry bring 0 flash to the Heisman. If you would show Henry's highlight reel and then show Fournette's, Henry would be an after thought, fact!

hell and don't forget Zeke Elliot out of Ohio State our the white boy out of Stanford the QB at Oklahoma....ehhh his hype train started a bit late. Maybe the QB of Clemson?
LF, Henry, and Cook lead the big three rushing categories is reason I plucked those names...
I would not even begin to pull QB's into this discussion. I really don't see any this year that are standing out tall above the field.

Except then they'd realize all of Fournette's "incredible" runs were against teams whose seasons are over and laugh.
Fournette isn't going to New York. He probably will next year, but he isn't going to go this year. Henry/Watson/Mayfield/McCaffery/Elliot and maybe Cook will go. Fournette won't.

Fournette is currently #6 in most of the Heisman predictions and with him sitting at home this weekend watching the 2 front runners zero chance he moves up.
Only way LF7 is going to NYC is if he pays he's own ticket.

Cook has faced tougher defenses. Fact. Next dumb statement?

Henry is your winner............
Fournette had two weak games against top comp
Cook missed almost all one game and entire next game
Maysfield missed 1/2 game, and had 265 total yards last game
Watson has a chance with an outstanding game at NC ala Griffith
McCaffrey should get more attention, but plays to many games after folks gone to bed
