No, I didn't ask a political question. I specifically asked about the possibility of the football team forfeiting a game and what would be the consequences of doing so. Pretty straight forward.
You wanna brick? Well I'm a brick throwing motherfricker, motherfricker, when someone tries to derail my thread, I'm Superfly T.N.T, I'm the Guns of Navarone.

Hang in Mizzou. I don't think it is your fault. I believe outside sources have much to do with this. I will not get too deep into this but with recent events that have happened you happen to be the place to promote an agenda. I have many black friends and am not racist whatsoever but I think what is happening to your university is WRONG. I just think those hammering you from the sec should think how it would feel if it was them because it could be them next.
Upvote.

Here's a hypothetical situation. Arkansas is 5-4, with three games remaining (LSU, Mississippi State, and Missouri). What would happen if Arkansas were to lose to LSU and Mississippi State (giving them a 5-6 record) and then Missouri could not field a team to play them? Would Arkansas get a "win" to make them bowl eligible? If not, would they have any legal recourse to argue that Missouri cost them projected bowl revenue?

I am less than impressed by your little brick throwing bear.
You tried to tame a hot topic. kudos, maybe. You knew where it would go, so throw your bricks at your own stupidity.

I'm curious about possible disciplinary actions by the SEC. You just can't have teams not playing because they don't feel like it.

Yes. In NCAA Football, if a team forfeits a game before it's played, their opponent is awarded a 1-0 win.

Sorry you can't compartmentalize an issue to deal with one aspect of it.
You sound stupid.
You sound stupid.

If I were one of the non-black players on the team, I'd be more than pissed. Walking out on your teammates, for whatever reason, is not OK.

This
Question is does the SEC want to open the shitstorm of media on them about racial issues thus making it a conference issue and not just a Missouri issue. The SEC will need to take action but make sure to cover their arse in a way this doesn't fuel other student bodies to try and jump on the bandwagon. With the south being the media target for racism this could escalate if not handled with the appropriate tact which by the sound of it the Missouri President didn't have much of.

Thanks! I was really curious about that.

What you are failing to understand you brick throwing motherfricker, is that all of this is racial politics .... therefore the results will be racially politically decided.
Let me try putting it another way ... down on your level.
Ferguson, Mizzouri ended-up being justified by the false narrative of #handsupdontshoot and #blacklivesmatter.
From that we've had bounties placed on Cops, a huge uptick in violent crime. Endless excuses made for bad behavior. All in the name of racial politics.
I'm not going to waste my time doing it .... but I could provide endless links to cases where thug blacks (a minority of blacks) have committed heinous crimes then claimed they did so because their victim used the N word. The gay black guy who killed the two TV people in WV. The black guy who knocked out the elderly white homeless woman in Atlantic City, NJ. The guy who shot the cop in the back of the head in Texas, at the gas station. Etc, etc, etc.
Excuses were made for all of them. Hell, for that matter O.J. got away with brutal murder because he is black .... he damn near cut two people's heads off yet walked Scott free for fear of more riots.
So when you ask about what will happen in this case ... the answer is nothing in terms of contractual obligation or monetary repercussions because it will not be allowed .... because it involves racial politics.
All things are overlooked and forgiven if you are black and you play the race card. That's how justice in America is doled out these days.
Will there be penalties imposed upon Mizzou? No.
Will Mizzou have to pay for the forfiets ... if it goes down that way? No
But ... will this cost Mizzou in the long run? Yes, absolutely it will.
This is not the first bad press for Mizzou in the eyes of sane, normal people in this country.
Ferguson and the riots and lootings and burnings .... that was strike one. Fair or not it was an indictment on everything and everyone in Missouri.
Next came the Michael Sam thing. God Bless him. He can't help it - no biggie. But Mizzou went too far out of their way playing up their support ... and while no one will come out and say it, that got a little old.
Now this. Strike three. A claim of institutionalized racism on campus followed by a player boycott followed by ... guess what? The coach being on board with the firing of his boss. A man who has supported him in the past.
And least we forget the whole rape thing that I'm not going to get in to here ... but everyone remembers.
Mizzou has been nothing but a shite show, a total dumpster fire, since joining the SEC. One embarrassment after another.
So no ... there will be no penalties - that'll all be handled for the sake of political correctness. But this will cost Mizzou for a long long time or until all involved parties are gone and forgotten.

Would they be protecting if they were in the mix to be the SEC East Champs? Or would they wait until after football season. Also are the black baseball and basketball players also striking ?

Yes
The SEC is forced into a corner with this. It's a position that Mizzou should have never allowed the conference to be put in and it most definitely could indirectly negatively affect the entire conference.
Thus, you schlep (sic) with the dogs you get their fleas.
Mizzou should have never been invited to the conference. This sort of bullshite from them will be never ending. They are not southerners. They do not know how to handle things the right way. They are devoid of good leadership on all levels throughout their state. It will take years, if not decades, for them to get their act together. It's been one thing after another with them since they joined the conference.

We will field a team so it doesn't matter.
Could be all white guys so we may not score a touchdown. Unless it's SCAR then we will score 5.
But probably the full team so we may not score a touchdown.
Scrooster go sit on a pineapple. And try not to enjoy it

If they dont play, they should lose Conference membership. They damage the brand of the SEC.
