If Fournette would've picked Bama...

How would the level of hate and vitriol have compared to Landon Collins? More, less, the same?
I think it would have been even worse. Fournette is a better respective player at his position. But to mention LSU wouldn't be as strong this year, and Bama would be scary with Fournette and Henry in the fame backfield.

Henry would get less than 10 carries a game

There'd certainly be less wife beatings going on in Alabama.

Saban would be spelling Henry with Fournette. They wouldn't be in at the same time or we would have had Trent Richardson in with Mark Ingram. Or Lacy in with Richardson. It's the Saban way. Saban's formula is run one back until he's tired then pound you with his backup. We would be better because Drake hasn't got his footing yet this year.

Collins came across as very much stick it in the eye of the home team fans. Fournette wouldn't have been as in your face as Collins therefore less vitriol....much bigger loss though.
I didn't dislike Collins initially until he acted like a clown a few times after going to bama. How much of that is because of his equally clownish mom and half-brother I don't know.

I think the Landon Collins commitment wouldn't have been as big of a deal if his crazy arse mom wasn't involved in it.

You really should compare it to Joe McKnight.

If this, if that, blah blah blah!! Can a week or even a day go by without a 'what if' thread??
But when in Rome..... what if Bama hadn't smoked LSU for a 21-0, would Saban still be coaching?

Probably so, and probably also play some h back. Fournette would probably get 20 a game.

It would depend entirely on his development and output.
His recruitment would have caused angst, sure, but if he'd come here and proceeded to go full-blown monster on the level he has this year, there would have been some serious wailing and gnashing of teeth.

How so? Joe didn't go to a school LSU fans notoriously hate. He never had to play LSU, let alone annually. Only similarities I see is position and going to the dominant football power of the time.

Drake would also be able to be utilized an a better position for his skill set. Still hoping we get to see some Drake magic at some point this year - fingers crossed.

I guess you would have had to have experienced the uproar surrounding his commitment. Landon Collins isn't in the same hemisphere.
