posted over 4 years ago that LSUs passing was a problem because we have the players and schemes to shut down the run. You guys didn't cross the 50 yard line in the NC game. The only difference is its four years later. LSUs offensive numbers are almost exactly the same.
Our 2015 offense is significantly better that 2011 and your defense is significantly worse than 2011.

Our running game is so much better than our running game in 2011 it's not even funny.

1. Inconsistent OL play
2. Poor decision making by the QB & QB staring down receivers

And let's not forget Alabama had a better QB in 2011

Being ranked dead last in passing offense from a non bias fan doesn't bode well if someone is able to stop the run. As I previously said, that hasn't been easy to do.
Using totals as a measurement of success is fricking ignorant. Yard per pass play isn't skewed by the number of pass plays called. For example Brandon Harris is 3rd in the sec in yards per attempt but he is last in attempts so his totals are low. This is common knowledge to anyone with football iq.

2015: 466 yards per game
2011: 356 yards per game
2011: 356 yards per game

Total yards do matter.
No they don't dumbass. LSU's lack of passing totals is because of the lack of passing plays called. Period. It's not because we can't pass.

The most obvious weaknesses for Bama would be turnovers in every phase of the game, including special teams and offense and the lack of getting turnovers although that is starting to reverse it self somewhat with all the picks they have gotten lately. Still had an opportunity for at least 4 easy picks last week and dropped them though. Secondary coverage has been good to great with very few blown assignments but they are still giving up some passing TD's. Offensive line has been a catastrophy at times this year as evidenced by all of the negative plays and penalties every game. We are having to chew the same dirt over and over on almost every drive.

At Bryant-Denny is also going to affect the LSU. Home field advantage is big with both of these teams. Our guys feast on the fan energy and when that's not there in great numbers - it takes the intensity down a notch or two.
Know I how I know you havent been paying attention to the lsu bama game in the last 20 years?
Lsu is 11-5 in the last 16 games in alabama but yeah home field advantage matters

LSU would have to be WR, LB, ST, blown coverages in the secondary.
I'm also kind of worried about Guice's mentality going into this game.

Your offense is better. But, all these claims about Harris being a great or even a good QB is not accurate. Even in the UF game he was only 17/32. He did hit a couple of deep ones but we have a true ball hawking defense. I don't think he will be hitting it deep on us in BDS. Plus, our pass rush is at least as good if not better than what we had in 2011. He will not have time to hit a deep one. So, if I'm Lesticle I'm trying to hit a few short ones to open up LF. If he can't then it's game over. No one on this planet knows how to shut down the run better than Saban.

LSU passing game is #116 out of 127. Stop the run, win the game...that first part isn't easy to do though lol
I'm assuming you are trolling. The LSU passing game was very successful against Florida. How did your interception machine qb perform against Florida?

That shortside option is gonna open up that Tide anus, breh.

I don't call 17/32 very successful. Harris got lucky on a couple of deep ball passes that will not be there against Bama 2015. He could against Bama 2013 and especially Bama 2014 but not this one.

You do realize that is a product of a team that runs for over 300 yards a game. Harris has proven he can make huge throws when needed.
Don't hang you hat on that stat. It's really not indicative of our offense

quote:HUH? Dupree and Dural are lighting it up now that BH is throwing the ball more...plus Dupree is a major mismatch with most DB's......this is a fail.
LSU would have to be WR

LB

ST

blown coverages in the secondary
While this has happened, it is overblown to a large degree...plus LSU gets Mills back at 100%. The secondary can actually cover well.

Brandon Harris was 13 of 19 against UF. You're looking at Treon Harris' numbers.

LOL. He threw for over 200 yards and 2 tds and 0 interceptions against probably the best pass secondary in CFB. He hasn't thrown an interception all year, and is the highest rated draft prospect in the SEC by multiple draft services...based upon play this year. He has made LSU significantly more dangerous and tougher to defend on offense, as LSU is now a triple threat to beat you with their running game, their passing game, and the QB's ability to run and roll outside the pocket. You act like bama has a great secondary and that LSU has no dangerous WR's. Here is a fact. BH is better than coker, LSU has much more dangerous WR's than Bama, better RB's, and a better OL. You keep believing this garbage you posted....and continue living in delusion. I'd be more worried about my own offense if I were you. LSU is very good against the run just like you, and the difference is that you have coker to rely on. Good luck.

so 2nd in the sec in qb rating and a td/int ratio of 9 / 0 isn't good?

Except he was 13/19 for 202 yards.
