What would it take to have Finebaum removed from the SEC network?

The sec network is great and I'm sure most of us would enjoy it a lot better if that annoying little twat was fired tomorrow. He possess little to no football knowledge of any kind. He's hard to listen to with all his mumbling, stuttering and searching for words. How espn didn't require him to take some broadcasting 101 classes is puzzling. He mostly appeals to residents of the free bird trailer park and is an embarrassment to the network. The SEC deserves better. Much better. Spurrier is available and would be a treasure of football knowledge and insight as well as a lot of fun to listen to. Just a thought.

As much as it would take to have Verne 6 feet under.

Finebaum will stay on the SECN as long as people discuss and start threads about him every day.

Deal with it you LSU bitch!

I really agree with this, jerry springer of the sec. Really puts the south down.

I agree with everything you wrote. Besides, Finebaum looks like a penis with ears.

What would it take to have TheNicktator removed from the SEC Rant?

When Sabah retires he will then starve to death due to lack of protein and it will be over.

It would take some other jackass coming along with the ability to fill 20 hours of air time each week for pennies (by television production standards).

Maybe $aban takes the Miama job & Pawwwl would follow along.
Both would fit well in that area and...oh, never mind.

Yea, it would be much better to have another Cowterd type show where we get 4 hours of someones opinion. I do not watch Finbaum much, mostly if I am driving I might give him a listen. But all of those shows, besides Dan Patrick, are pretty bad to me.
I can't stand some assholes opinion 3-4 hours a day, who then denies the next week he said it, I prefer the caller driven show.

in the media being "disliked even hated" is a positive
wanna get rid Paul?
Stop talking about him, when the buzz dies and ratings go away so will he.
Creating threads about him prolongs his stay and relevance

I wouldn't know because I've only watched the game broadcasts because they have a-hole Finebaum on all the rest of the time and I don't watch him.

Well, I would watch and see. So far, I can't say how I would enjoy it because I've literally never watched it when he was on. Now that they have him on GameDay some, I switch the channel as soon as I see his face.

Obviously, but that's no different to most other sportscasters these days. They don't know a damned thing, they don't even pretend to know anything, they are just entertainers trying to get attention. Finebaum has never known anything, but he knew that talking shite would get him attention. He started by trolling the Auburn and Alabama fan bases, and as his audience has increased, his trolling targets have likewise increased. He loves to talk shite about LSU because he knows LSU fans are passionate and there are some who are too stupid to ignore him, just like the Auburn and Alabama fans that he got his start trolling.

ESPN couldn't give a rat's arse about any of that. They know that Phyllis from Mulga and a million like her will fall for his tired bullshite and as long as they do, ESPN makes money and is happy.

Of course he does. No one with an IQ over 70 would listen to him. There's a reason why he got his start in Alabama, but it could just as easily have been Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, etc.
quote:
an embarrassment to the network.
A network doesn't get embarrassed, unless they get shitty ratings. They would put on two bubbas from Alabama (the state, not the school) acting like children if it got ratings, which, thanks to the stupidity of Alabama and, apparently, the whole South, it does.

No, it doesn't. "The SEC", if defined by the collective fan bases of all its schools, deserves exactly what it has, a shite-stirring hack with no talent trolling them every fricking minute. The fact that they are so stupid that they make him rich because they hate him is the proof that they deserve him.

Yes, he would be extremely informative and helpful to any real fan wanting to learn something, which automatically excludes 99% of all SEC fans.

Just a thought.
Having one of those while trying to evaluate what SEC fans want/need/will get is where you went wrong. Finebaum specializes in manipulating people who can't think, which is what made him a perfect fit for talk radio in Alabama and now, apparently, TV through the whole of SEC country.

Why would a bammer want Finebaum gone? He licks Nick Saban's nuts.

He is entertainment--nothing more.
