Per Mark Murphy

“When individuals fail to meet the expectations of our program, there has to be consequences,” Malzahn said. “I gave D’haquille the chance to prove himself. I am disappointed that it did not work out.”

From Phil Marshall

Williams was involved in an altercation leading to his dismissal.

Thank God. It should have happened a while back. Gus didn't have the backbone to do it then though. Now that he's not producing, it was an easy decision I'm sure.

Hate that he wasted his talent. Some people just can't get it together for whatever reason.

Good. For all intents and purposes he hasn't been on the team this year anyway.

I just don't understand though. He seemed happy last year. Why are all uber-talented WRs such drama queens?

I'm sure he deserved it, but it doesn't matter much. He isn't a screen guy or deep threat guy, so he doesn't fit with the way gus calls pass plays anyway.

If you were to tell me before the season that just a few weeks in, we would be missing JJ Lawson and Duke and be last in the SEC...I would have picked up a better hobby on Saturdays.

I'll never understand Auburn football.

I'm not surprised. Too high maintenance, don't let the door hit you in the arse, DUUUUUUUUUKE.

Maybe he'll get his crap together and find a spot on a roster. I think the odds are against him, not enough self-control and discipline.

When I woke up this morning, the first thing I saw was an email on my phone with the subject line reading "'Disappointed' Malzahn dismisse" and my first thought was we'd fired Gus overnight and was a little surprised but not shocked. Then I opened the email and saw the whole thing and wasn't surprised or shocked.

There appears to be some trouble going down in the athletics complex parking lot. Two cop cars, appears to be a football player getting patted down. Hopefully it's nothing serious
